Hamas front group CAIR abuses Pittsfield TWP residents with legal thuggery.
Silence! I Keel you!
Or at least I shut your infidel trap up!
No this isn’t a Jeff Dunham Comedy hour, and its not Achmed the dead terrorist. Yet for some folks in Pittsfield Township Michigan, it is the silencing terrorism of lawsuits being used to prevent vocal opposition to a new islamic center. The not-so-funny efforts of [Hamas front group] CAIR, to shush neighbors of a proposed speaker laden madrassa and prayer center comes as no surprise as efforts to use Michigan courts against local residents continue.
” In 2012, the Muslim Community Association of Ann Arbor (MCA) requested that the Township rezone a parcel of land to build an Islamic School and community center. The Township denied the request, citing infrastructure and traffic concerns. Nevertheless, CAIR, which bills itself as “America’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization,” filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the Township on behalf of the MCA, alleging that the denial of the MCA’s rezoning application violated the Islamic group’s constitutional and statutory rights. “
Pittsfield Township residents formed a group to oppose the construction and spoke openly in public meetings arguing against it. For exercising their ‘free speech,’ the residents were served with subpoenas, and may have their first and fourth amendment rights violated.
The islamic group CAIR is using the power of the courts to punish and suppress such intolerance!
” As a result, CAIR served harassing subpoenas on a number of these citizens, demanding that they produce private emails and other documents, and in some cases, appear for a deposition.
Indeed, AFLC is representing a husband and wife who came home one day to find several papers jammed in the crack of the front door of their home. The papers included subpoenas demanding the production of personal emails and other documents and a subpoena commanding the wife to appear at a deposition. “
Mistaken thinking that islamists are our friends, mean us no harm, and simply wish to live and get along with us in our REPUBLIC, is unfortunate.
Township zoning CAN make it difficult for property owners to utilize their space as they deem appropriate. However, it isn’t the zoning that is being viciously attacked through our legals system, but residents who have simply stated that they don’t wish to hear the caterwauling screech of a call to prayer in their back yard.
