Economy

Might I suggest a nice rubber room? Be sure to bring your friends Dana & Jocelyn with you.

Talk about disconnect!

Gov. Witless demonstrates (yet, again) how so out of touch she is with her despotic “leadership” method.

It goes a long way towards explaining much of what is in the media over the last few days.

Wait, what was that again?

Prior to today’s Judgement Day Rally put on by Michigan United for Liberty, Gov. Witless, AG Karen and the media dutifully marched in lockstep belittling us and misrepresenting the true purpose behind the protest.

“This is old news, KG, tell me something I don’t know,” you may be asking yourself.

All true, except for the fact that AG Karen just got caught overplaying her hand.

I give you Exhibit “A”:

“The AG’s Office is ‘unclear’ as to whether this will be enforceable in a court of law???”

What might have been her first clue?

BOTH Chambers will not be holding session today, so aside from a few radical black nationals showing (maybe) up to stir up some trouble (and the rain), I don’t see there being any problems later today.

Stay free, everyone!

People are wising up, we must increase the fear level another notch.

Another day, another “objective” reporter carrying the water for Gov. Witless and her unconstitutional actions.

I cannot speak for other parts of Michigan (yet), but with the notable exception of Charlie Langton, what passes for news reporting in Southeastern Michigan has long since morphed into a non-comical farce of itself.

Yesterday saw yet another protest against Michigan Government attempting to lockup everyone in order to “keep us safe”. To their credit, Channel 7 sent a crew out to cover it.

Did they start the report on why people were there? The effect that the governess’ illegal actions were having on their physical well-being or financial status? How a governor can claim authority that expired at the beginning of this month?

Nope, within the first few seconds we got this instead:

Many without masks, not social distancing, holding Trump posters and homemade signs say its personal freedoms they’re fighting for.”

Now, we have AG Karen attempting to crank things up another notch by telling us that there is an investigation into “credible threats” against state lawmakers.

No word yet on when she’ll investigate the assault against three individuals with media credentials who were doing nothing more than sitting in the House Gallery. I’m absolutely certain that is high on her “To-do” list, and she just forgotten to alert the press.

Adding fuel to the dumpster fire that is Gov. Witless’ “leadership” during the Wuhan situation, we have businesses who have taken it upon themselves to not ask for permission from her to re-open…they are simply doing it themselves.

Oh no, we cannot have that!

Not to fear, LEO’s will step in and set those ne’er-do-wells straight.

Wait, what?

“Livingston County Sheriff Mike Murphy isn’t convinced Whitmer’s order is legal and said he won’t enforce the order. It doesn’t matter to Gray because he said he’d stay open even if he gets fined.”

No, no,no,no,no,no!

This won’t do!

And what does “republican” Brian Calley (now Michigan Small Business Administration President), have to say about all of this?

I mean, it’s only money, right?

Yesterday the City of Detroit announced that it is closing the Huwan virus “overflow” facility at the recently converted Cobo Hall (aka TCF Center).

The facility which cared for no more than 20 patents at a time (it was designed for about 1,000), will now be held in “reserve”.

What you didn’t see in the media is the cost Detroit paid to have this conversion done.

I mean, it’s not like Detroit has money to burn.

Or, that they haven’t taken everything into account all of the variables when they made their choices (like a certain despotic governor we all know and love).

But hey, it’s only money.

Who cares where it comes from?

wink wink!

Well, that certainly didn’t take very long!

After getting hit with a ton of texts in the last hour, and a few nasty e-mails to boot, I’m going to need to walk back something I wrote earlier about yesterday.

At first, I didn’t even trust my friends on this because even I thought that that was too “over-the-top” to be true.

Well, I was wrong.

I’ll explain below.

Oh, benevolent governess, will you please allow me to work?

So, by now, everyone should’ve had an opportunity to watch what passes for objective news coverage from yesterday’s rally in Lansing.
Allow me to go over what did happen, what didn’t happen, and what others would like for you to believe happened.

I even have some interesting images from the Michigan Senate Floor that didn’t quite make the “official record”.

And this is any better…why?

People thought that the Republicans might have had an epiphany last week while Michiganians were circling the Capitol Building in Lansing for a better part last Wednesday. Having 10,000 cars blocking traffic all around you and blaring their horns for most of the day does tend to draw attention, but I digress.

During a Friday News Dump, SML Mike Shirkey announced that not only was the legislature disinclined to extend Gov. Witless’ tyranny past May 1st, but that they had a plan, based upon a framework released by the White House on how this will be accomplished.

Outstanding! Now we can get Michigan back to work so that we can start fixing the colossal disaster her incredibly ridiculous “orders” have wrought upon our state.

But did anyone bother reading the fine print?

I’ve heard this line before.

End the CON

For too many decades, health care in Michigan might well have been better and cost far less!

Michigan has been CONned for far too long.

The Certificate Of Need rules in Michigan have resulted in less competition, higher health care costs, and reduced flexibility when emergency situations arise. Limiting the choice of consumers to bloated bureaucratic health care systems that have no incentive to keep costs down or protect their employees naturally.

Sorry for mistaken nation versus state numbers. Watch the video, you’ll know what I mean.

BY the way ..don’t wonder why there are layoffs.

God Bless

Operation Gridlock update

For those of you attending the Operation Gridlock Rally in Lansing today organized by the MICHIGAN CONSERVATIVE COALITION, I just wanted to pass along two items this morning.

The MCC has released a series of guidelines for today’s event (see below).

If you are leaving from Macomb County/Wayne County, Autoworkers for Trump have scheduled to meet up at the corner of 17 Mile Road and Van Dyke at 9:00am. From there, they will head out to Livonia (Stark Road between I-96 and Plymouth Road…look for the Trump signs) to link up with other participants there before heading up to Lansing.

Attendees are strongly encourages to share their experiences/video on social media from today’s rally.

The local media is still displaying a condescending attitude towards anyone who dares question the sage wisdom of Gov. Witless as she orders Michigan into ruin, even when they themselves aren’t sure on what to do.

That been said, they have promised to cover the event.

Please follow the guidelines, so that the media munches on shoe leather as they try to spin this into something that it is not.

Stay safe, everyone.

Whitmer: do less campaigning, more governing

Whitmer: do less campaigning, more governing

Over the last several weeks, Michigan families have suffered greatly due to Governor Whitmer’s coronavirus restrictions; while most can agree that social distancing guidelines, along with habitual handwashing are necessary, it’s also the opinion of many that prohibiting things like boating, selling gardening materials, and landscaping is not of the essence to mitigate the virus – there are so many activities that could be safely performed, that are prohibited by this order. The question I ask you, Governor Whitmer, is: why close down businesses if they can stay operational with little to no increase in infection spread?

While some mitigation strategies should be employed, shutting down our economy should not be an action that is ever relished – I feel that is, unfortunately, the case for our Governor. It appears that she is wallowing in the constant media appearances. Will our Governor do what’s right and quit trying to obfuscate her end goal? Will she confess the campaign for Vice President instead of camouflaging it with “doing her job”?
