There Goes the Neighborhood

It appears one of our straying pachyderm within Lansing’s Recucklican Majority believes that an ever overreaching State government knows best for how your local community functions than youthe homeowner.

Local bans on short-term rentals in Michigan could be barred themselves under controversial legislation being considered by a Republican-controlled state House committee.

The bill’s sponsor, Rep. Jason Sheppard, R-Temperance, said the local zoning rules created to ban short-term rentals such as those available through Airbnb, Homeaway and VRBO infringe on private property rights and are an abuse of Michigan’s Zoning Enabling Act.

Now, bare in mind folks, this is the same jagoff that wants to ban boating for the majority of a 24 hour day on all inland lakes. Sell that one in a Pure Michigan ad campaign? Yah, Jason is a real deep thinker.

Furthermore, I smell a rat.

Does a Peacock Complain About its Livery?

For someone who has held elected titles in Lansing, from 2001 thru 2015, this was not an accident unless she has Richard Bernstein selecting attire for her. Curves? Is that what corpulent menopausal females refer to it as now? It’s as if they believe that others do not have eyes.

And, on cue, not allowing an opportunity to go to waste, a white male Republican steps forward to Virtue Snivel. Lee, shall we discuss what a loser is and inappropriate? Soros NPV junkets? Millennials… the guiding compass in the House, which means this state is- totally screwed.

That stated, I fully cede the notion that there is a way to vote our way out of this creeping socialism, nanny-government mess that is Michigan. There are just too many bent-knee pandering fools and reprehensible, Retreads within to counter the opposition.

Was “Just Following Orders” …for 26 Years?!?!

Go. READ THIS

Now, watch.

Do any of you see or, hear his active-duty union brothers speaking up about this? F*** no. And, I’ll share why you will not… it’s because it is all one big incestuous circle-jerk between the thieves in the legislature and, the sleazy shysters who they answer to. Besides, when it comes to those shinny badges it’s only about securing money for those union pensions in mismanaged municipalities. No, seriously.

Speaking of union pensions… ironically, SB 22 is up for discussion tomorrow morning at 9am in the House Appropriations Committee. Didja notice the name of the cosponsor? If you guessed a retired LEO taking care of union brothers by creating a special carveout for 96 of his friends, then you guessed right. Hey, you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours, right?

Nofs-copsucker

Only in the public sector does one see this kind of crap so, why does Boobus Michiganderus continue to consent to it?

Click-it or Money-Grab “laws” Often Effect Such Hostility

Oh noes! It’s the great “bleed out” of 2015.

Remember back in 1985, when this was never to be used as a device to stop you for revenue? I do. This garbage started as a Secondary Offense. Today, the ‘bleed out” is written expressly for the purpose to make a grant-gamed, quick shakedown buck with occasional extra perks.

However, the Thin Blue Line sure do get their panties in a bunch, don’t they? So, who is forcing any of them to become LEO? Nobody. Does anybody ever see LEO lobbying our Lansingcritters to get rid of such money-grab “laws” as Click-it or Ticket? Hell no. Actually, LEO is behind most of our invasive quick-buck “laws” because they’re the departmental arm who provide Tough On Crimecampaign propaganda for our Lansingcritters as well as elected Municritters. Perhaps, the alleged doctor should’ve directed some of his frustration there, too.

Frankly put, Haddad needs to STFU, and quit being such a whiny li’l bitch, because as we all know, Officer Safety often tells lies and/or shoots pets, especially, if there’s a Reserve Note involved for a State government $74+ Billion in the hole.

Ps. Mrs. Russell, go find something better to do with your life other than playing sensationalized “gotchya games” with Private Citizen’s employment because your daddy was Redford Po-po. WXYZ should know better than to air such crap. Seriously, some dude rationalizing a hypothetical scenario when he’s frustrated with a frivolous money-grab stop is a whole world of difference from when LEO loses their shit.

OABTW, Wagner never lost his job, did he? Nope.

And it Only Took 135 Days to *Figure Things out*

If it’s dysfunctional you seek, look no further than the Calley name.

calley-johnjpg-190d913f167f6fa2

John Calley, 26, of Lyons, was charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident, reckless driving and failure to report an accident – all misdemeanors.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, January 28, at a Pilot gas station on State Road at I-96 in Ionia County.

REST

Go figure. Sorta appears as if they had enough time to bury the toxicology report because the broad he is running with is bad, bad juju.

She said her daughter suffered broken ribs, collapsed lungs and abrasions. She was hospitalized for a day before being locked up on an unrelated shoplifting charge. Records show she was released from the Ionia County Jail on Wednesday.

Thorpe said her daughter, who has a minor criminal record, was an “associate” of Calley. She said her daughter called him on Jan. 28 and offered to pay him for a ride from the family’s home outside Ionia. She said she doesn’t know where they were headed.

Yep. Just a “minor criminal record“.

Shannon Emily Scully, 23, Ionia, convicted of larceny – less than $200, second or… Sentenced to 10 days in jail with 10 days credit, 12 months probation and $1,115 costs and fines.

Uh-huh. Riiiiiiiiiiiiight. And, Schostak’s and Bolger’s buddy ain’t a pothead, either. Oh, wait!

The Editor’s Choice Awards

RightMi.Com editors weigh in on their favorite anti-prop 15-1 articles.

GasTaxRegistrationFreesHikeWe’ve had plenty to say about proposal 15-1.

In fact, there was so much to be said that we had to create a special category for it, and all things leading up to, and related have been edited by Kevin to reflect their importance to the issue.  While the traditional media sources play the equal opportunity game with both proponents and opponents of HR UU (proposal 15-1), it’s been our position to not do so.  We have maintained that equal opportunity is already a function of those who would lie about its ‘advantages,’ and it needs no further promotion to make it one of the most dangerous options Michiganians have ever faced at the ballot box.

As we wrap up the arguments with only 2 days left before the polls close, RightMi.com editors thought it important to offer up a few ‘MUST READS!’ As you make a special trip to the polls for an election day that you wouldn’t have if the last legislative session would have done its job we have highlighted the most compelling.  The editors have selected 5 or more articles from RightMi.com directly, and one other from anywhere else, traditional or otherwise.

Let the review begin!
