Rep. Franz Explains the Disaster That is Proposal 1

Wait until you discover zero sales tax dollars goes to roads, and the Education Fund doesn’t mean money going to schools. Enjoy.

Think those additional costs on shipping goods to stores aren’t going to be passed along to you on top of the direct personal hit to the wallet? Better think again about that.

Thanks for voting against this convoluted, Snyder invented perpetual tax hike during the lame duck, Rep. Franz. Also, thanks for being the only Rep. to address this, and the fact there are multiple “Plan B’s” in the works.

STOP-167And, to you out there who are appalled that Lansing had the audacity to foist this abomination onto us, you better get off your asses and Vote NO on May 5, because the news outlet editorial page propagandists pushing Snyder’s agenda is already ramping up their “it’s all we got” meme as noted here and here.

Remember, requirement is 50% + 1 stinking vote is all it takes to entrench this mess into our constitution.

I get Chad Livengood throwing in a plug for The News' editorial in support of Prop 15-1, the people working at the sinking ship that is The Detroit News are not prone to "rocking the boat", like they do at the other end of the building at The Detroit Free Press.

Still, it is sad to see a newspaper, that for as long as I've been reading it (decades), is willing flush its reputation of being skeptical on the "need" for any tax hike down the drain and happily passing out Slick Rick's Kool Aid to its readers.

I'll be eagerly awaiting Nolan Finley's embracing of Rep. Courser's & Sen. Colbeck's "Plan B".

    Not.

Did I hear that Gov. Snyder is going around saying "vote for this so I can be president" ?????? This source is unbelievably credible--and more evidence that the only qualification to hold office is being a master money raiser. This was further witnessed during the recent state district caucuses when they paraded wannabe candidates before this captive audience and the only pats-on-the-backs handed out was "I raised the most money. . ." Really People--that's your criteria for electing anyone!!!!!! You do know that that money was originally yours which you gave up by paying higher prices to corporations so they'd have enough money to spend on various special interest pacs. Stop giving to these special interest corporate charities. Nuff said!

BTW--I hope this gets posted because when I used Core Curriculum Math to arrive at my answer to (1-?=zero)--I'm not sure I got the right answer.

Mr. Franz continues to show that elections do matter. Voters elected him and he represents the best of voters intentions.
He has been out in front on many issues. That is what I like to see in a Representative. His breadth of knowledge is extensive as seen in this presentation. I have also seen other presentations by him which show the same in depth understanding of the issues.
Most other Reps and Senators have at best a "talking point" understanding and never bother to go forward in their research either due to lack of ability or lack of caring. Ray Franz does.
He is a jewel. He is what can happen when people get informed and involved in politics.
As to this issue, I quote Mr. Franz: "Elections are won by those who show up".
We can get what we ask for, only if we ask and actually vote.
    Regards,
