Poof! PFM!
The average price of gas in Michigan is $ 3.10 a gallon for regular while the average is $3.06 in the metropolitan Detroit area.
In Monroe, gas has been hovering as low as $ 2.85 this week.
Ms. Hiltz sees the trend in prices declining throughout November and into December, and said it is possible for the state average to drop below $ 3, which hasn’t happened since 2010.
Notice how many in the linked article have been so conditioned that they’re *thankful* gas is around $3 when just a decade ago it was $1.44 a gallon? Sheeple were made to be shorn.
Keep that in mind for the Lame Duck in Lansing, if/when the Nerd is unleashed with his wholesale tax agenda & registration fee hike.
Not everything is an Obama conspiracy.

Aside from supply considerations, gasoline prices are seasonal for various factors including EPA mandated summer blends which require customization for localities and subsequently higher production costs, lower demand after summer, and the world economy which presently hasn't been faring too well.

I don't particularly see lower gasoline prices benefiting Democrats because there are so many other issues toward which Republican could point that show the poor governing that has happened under the Democrats watch. Here in Michigan, the Democrats are running a poor race for governor, but the Republicans are running a poor race for senator... neither of which have an iota to do with gasoline prices.
All true.
But the gist that I got from CS's post had more to do with Slick Rick's relentlessly positive ramming through of his gas tax hike in lame duck.
Not only do my sources tell me that this is a done deal regardless of the outcome of the election, but some of the republicans will use the lower price at the pump as an argument in support of higher taxes (a'la Nolan Finley's recent Detroit News piece).
But, of course. It really is a stretch to read both of those articles and somehow not come to the conclusion that the House of Saud has magically opened up the spigot to "capture market share" while not putting a damper onto Tehran's love-fest with ISIS. Yep, it's completely rational to dismiss such things while placating Obama's actions abroad.
As to the ass reaming tax hike the Nerdpublicrats have planned out, well, we'll see...
As I was saying...
