It’s all about the roads!
Remember: It’s about the roads.
Say it with me again so there’s no forgetting: It’s about the roads.
No, it’s not. And I’ve got it straight from the horse’s mouth on why this actually isn’t.
You’ve probably heard those arguments from, ahem “conservatives”, promoting more taxes by shoveling out industrial amounts of this in the hope that people will support their cockamamie proposal (and not ask too many questions about why they aren’t using what they collect already).
If you have listened to your radio this am, there is a better than good chance that you’ve either heard, or heard an excerpt of a clip from those promoting this train-wreck,
spinning “informing” listeners on why this “road bill” is a good thing.
I wasn’t able to catch them all in the Detroit-Area, but one that I did catch was Gov. Snyder on WJR’s Paul W. Smith Show. Normally, I don’t listen to his program, but in this case, I was doing some paperwork when I turned on the radio and just happened to catch the end of the interview.
I’ll give Paul W. Smith credit near the end (go to the 6:53 mark), because he pinned down the gov. attempting to promote one of the whoppers they use to peddle this lie; namely it is…” all about the roads.”
We hear from Slick Rick on why this really isn’t the case.
How he, along with other like Sen Meekhof, can look at themselves in the mirror after continually spewing this lie is beyond me?
