Michigan republicans should just concede the next election to the democrats right now.

Really! I’m a conservative just like the rest of you. Pinky swear!

Lil’ Guv Brian Calley, accompanied Gov. Snyder to Macomb County this week at the Macomb Chamber Alliance luncheon, and after a predictable speech on their successes in office, “teases” a potential run for Michigan Governor.

No, I’m not going to drive up web traffic to his soon-to-be campaign site by posting any links to it here.

..

Honestly!

This is the best that the republican kakistocracy can do?

So far, Team “r” has a candidate who supported bailing out Detroit and giving local governments the opportunity to drive themselves even further in debt by floating bonds to pay for promises they made to their employees which they knew they couldn’t possibly keep.

Now we’re seeing a candidate whose conservative philosophical leanings are questionable, at best.

Does Snydercaid, Common Core or using the power of state government to pay for his own daughter’s autism coverage ring a bell to anyone here?

How about Proposal 1?

I can go on and on here, but just what little I posted above should be troubling for anyone who identifies as a Real Conservative.

And don’t get me started on his support of President Trump, especially after the Wendy Day debacle.

It’s a shame that there isn’t another candidate in the wings who can offer us a real alternative to the milksops that Team “r” thinks have a snowball’s change in the ‘18 race?

Anyone looking for me?

Don't forget Calley cast the tie-breaking vote for the gas tax that 81% of the Michigan Voters said HECK NO! to.

Pete Hoekstra should consider running for governor. Just saying!

Please tell me that you're kidding. And I've got a lot more where that came from if there is any question regarding Hoekstra's integrity and what he'll do should he get into that office.

I believe that Michigan--since before the Engler era--has been used as a testing ground for disgusting, quietly initiated UN policies. We were complacent then, due to thriving corporations within our state. Then NAFTA and corporations fled the state. We became a welfare state--taking so much money from the Feds that now the Feds own us. With that being said, I agree with Jim, Hoekstra with all his shortcomings, might be the perfect candidate--a Washington insider with close ties to the President, might actually work for us.
