This has been the standard line from democrats for years now (I get the same spiel whenever I speak to my local officials) as if DPS will see their student enrollment numbers "magically" go back up to 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, 1980's, 1990's Granholm Administration levels.

And, I was going to write a separate post about this, but I'm still backed up with Christmas goings on for the next several days.

What's left of DPS is the absolute least of Detroit's problems.

You went from the 50's to the 90's and blamed the MoleRattler? Holy shit! That's a leap in of itself. Look, we just had a total rewrite by Nerdpublicrats for any dumb enough to work/reside income tax dollars alone. How's that 5% pension raid work out for y'all? Good and hard, huh?

And, don't get me started on the lighting and other Ron Wieser crap to pacify suburbanite morons. #DIAtax

I don't disagree with you one bit, CS.

I was just passing along the standard MDP talking point that I always get whenever the subject of education is brought up when meeting with other constituents. Their delivery typically goes something like this.

And as usual, I give them a very skeptical stare back when they are looking across the room for validation from us.

Jack Lessenberry said this morning on Michigan Radio that DPS financial officials told him that they will run out of cash in May, before the end of the school year. Since DPS just maxed out their MFA borrowing limit for the school year in September with a $ 121.2 million debt issue, our Legislature will be left holding the bag. Should be their Number 3 bailout priority next year, after electricity rates and Flint water.

Our Legislature has morphed into a money transfer mechanism. All they do any more.

I think that the first shakedown will be the RTA crowd.

Ford is already hitting the communities at the southern end of the county in order to drum up support.

You'd think that with all of those Obamaphones floating about, that they would know how to use Uber, Lyft or Sidecar?

      Oh, wait! Those COST money.

    DPS, EAA, charters, Cornerstone, etc.

Call it what you want, but they all represent the same thing. A tax burden on all of us to deny the reality that it is a fool's errand to try and educate a certain segment that has neither the capacity or will to be educated.

Jeb, Snyder and every other cuck "school reformer" need to take a remedial course on the findings of Charles Murray.

And I'm certain that Dr. Carson and Sec. Rice will undoubtedly and wholeheartedly agree with Mr. Murray's "findings".

Do you understand how a bell shaped curve works? Dr. Carson and Secretary Rice are several standard deviations away from the center, cuck.

You are proceeding from a false premise, and therein lies the problem with your response.

Based upon his other writings, I'm not going to jump on the progressive-liberal bandwagon and call Mr. Murray a racist. But for him to throw out the hypothesis that genetics have some correlation to racial IQ differences, and just end the matter right there, is just screaming for trouble.

And just so that you're receiving me in HD, I wholeheartedly and categorically deny that there is any relation between the two. The two examples above notwithstanding, I've met people from various races who are smart as a whip and others who are dumber than a bag of rocks. My observations from speaking with them have more to do with the end results being based solely upon how much they value education, actual learning and hard work.

Those who value those traits fall in the former category, while those who do not are in the latter.

Race is not a variable in that equation.
