RightMi.com Nov 6 Voter Guide

Our (probably not surprising) picks for tomorrow's big vote.

This ought to be simple enough.

Starting off with the premise that the Democrat Party has gone off the deep end, I will save a lot of you the time by recommending that none of those from the D brand are worthy of anyone’s vote.  The #PartyOfCrime has earned it’s hashtag, as well as a few more derogatory labels.

From the top to the bottom, it has defamed honorable persons on the national stage, to those locally deciding to not even show up.  Brett Kavanaugh was publicly abused in a frenetic way that has never before been seen. And locally, we have a Democrat county commission candidate who forgot to let folks know she was moving 80 miles away before the election.

Ya know, while I don’t like to get too serious about some things, I believe that when selecting those who represent us in our Republic, it means something.  Elections have consequences, and civil discourse is somewhat tough when dealing with those who cannot respect process or even take a leadership role seriously.

In any event, we start at the Governor’s race.

Sunday Sermon – The Oft Forgotten Commandment

Mark 12:28-37

Many years ago a shabbily dressed boy trudged several miles through the snowy streets of Chicago, determined to attend a Bible class conducted by D. L. Moody.

When he arrived, he was asked, “Why did you come to a Sunday school so far away? Why didn’t you go to one of the churches near your home?” He answered simply, “Because I find love here.”

As we think about that story, we need to ask ourselves whether others can say the same about our families and our church, and it is because we all struggle with loving God and loving others. But love is the greatest need of humans and it also the greatest obligation of humans. Let me repeat that: love is the greatest need of humans and it also the greatest obligation of humans.

If you can recall the last couple of Gospel readings – and don’t feel too badly if you don’t, because I find that a hard thing to do myself – but if you do you would recall that Jesus was continuously being opposed by the religious authorities. He was opposed by the Pharisees, the Sadducees, the scribes, and in last week’s gospel by a group of Jews.

He taught them; “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” But they didn’t understand, they didn’t believe. And in today’s gospel Jesus is tested by a scribe. Now, if you aren’t familiar with scribes, they were the persons who were responsible for copying the sacred texts so the next generation would have them available. Scribes were highly educated and were meticulous at their task.

Just to illustrate how meticulous they were: I am sure you have all heard of the Dead Sea scrolls.

Vote NO on Proposal 2

All of our informational videos made on Michigan's proposal 2 in one place.

All five of the videos created to let folks know what a disaster proposal 2 would be for Michigan. The latest video is first. The remainder below.

The bottom line is that proposal 2 is merely a change to a different form of gerrymandering. One that does its best to exclude one side, and make the process irreversible by eliminating answerability to the voters.

If you value accountability in Michigan politics, you MUST make sure all of your friends and family members understand what is at stake.

Oakland County Medical Examiner Releases “Trunk Abortionist” Babies for Burial

Funeral Rites Will Take Place for 14 Aborted Babies, Saturday, Nov. 3rd & 24th

There are some disturbing things that happen around us.

In August 2018 the bodies of 15 unborn children, discovered in the trunk of Michigan abortionist Michael Roth’s car by West Bloomfield police officers, were released by the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office to the Borek-Jennings Funeral Home. This was the result of a two-year effort by Citizens for a Pro-Life Society to obtain the aborted babies’ remains for burial.

In the wake of Detroit funeral home these 14 aborted babies will finally be laid to rest in a dignified service, Saturday, Nov. 3rd with an funeral Mass celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Detroit Robert Fisher, Transfiguration Parish, 25225 Code Rd., Southfield, MI. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 25800 W 10 Mile Rd, Southfield, MI.

A second funeral will take place for the 15th of the “Trunk Abortionist” babies as pro-lifers in Livingston County desired to bury one of the abortion victims in their area. That funeral is Nov. 24th, Mass, Holy Spirit Parish, 9565 Musch Rd, Brighton, MI. Burial will take place in cemetery.

The story behind this is disturbing.  In Sept. 2015 the remains of 15 aborted babies were discovered in the trunk of the car of Michigan abortionist Michael Roth by the West Bloomfield police department.

League Of Women Voters Called Out For Partisanship

6 Republicans cancel appearance at LWV event in Traverse City

It might as well be a Democrat forum.

Republican commission candidates in Grand Traverse County Michigan are through with the league of women voters. The league has always been ‘suspect’ but appeared to be respectful, and provided a forum to all candidates with no spoken bias.

However, after CEO of the national League of Women Voters was arrested for engaging in civil disobedience protesting the Kavanaugh nomination, it was clear the illusion of neutrality has been blown.  There can be no way that the LWV can be trusted to perform such informational services without bias, and that their ‘neutrality’ is for IRS purposes only.

Sunday Sermon – God & Marriage

Genesis 2:18-25

How does one define marriage?

  • Well, to some – it is “the quickest way to kill a good romance.”
  • To a live-in girlfriend, it might be a piece of paper that guarantees she will get some money for all the time she invested in a bad relationship.
  • To others it is the answer to most of their problems – and still others it is where most of the problems began.

Turning to our first reading, however, we find that God conducted the first wedding in the Garden of Eden. Hence, we find this possible definition: It is the union of one man and one woman by the will of God into a growing relationship of love for life.

Biblically speaking, marriage fulfills four purposes God has for mankind.

  • The first is to populate the earth. In Genesis 1:28 God tells Adam and Eve to “be fruitful and multiply.”
  • The second is to avoid loneliness. In our opening verse we find that for the first time in the creation account something is NOT good. God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone.”
  • The third purpose is to satisfy sexual desires. In 1 Corinthians 7:9 Paul says, “. . .it is better to marry than to burn with passion.”
  • And the fourth is to build character so as to produce godly children. This is found in Malachi 2:15, “Has not the Lord made them one?” And why one? Because He was seeking godly offspring.”

Of course, one of the the most damaging situations for any relationship is one’s own demeanor. If one is content or happy with their own life, then they will most likely extend that contentment or happiness into the relationship.

And it is also true that most relationships benefit from both persons bringing this type of attitude into the relationship.

The Danger Of The Left

Change you can believe .. ?

There have always been ideological differences between Ds and Rs and some other variations of the political spectrum.

What has held this country together however, is shared experience, similar desires for prosperity, and common pursuits that are rooted in the similar values. The nation has survived, thrived, and become stronger because of this. Our state and federal constitutions reflect the principle foundations upon which we as society agree to govern ourselves upon.

There are people however, that have been trying to twist those commonalities.  Recent suggestions that there is ‘polarization’ in our state and country are largely true.  Although conservatives and traditionalists can rightly argue that there has been little shift in their beliefs and mores, there can be no question the separation of ‘left’ and ‘right’ is growing.

We are a nation under siege from within.

In the video on the right, Whitmer’s extremist gubernatorial pick, displays a perfect example of what ‘Change’ has meant since we first heard that simple word used in the 2008 presidential elections.

“Movement to win this election. Because we need a movement to actually lead in Michigan. Movements are what make change happen. Movements are what deliver legislative wins. Movements are how we get to redefine the values in Michigan.”

We are the change we have been waiting for, right?

Not This Year

NPV efforts in Michigan will not bear fruit this year, but ..

Yesterday, some good people gathered in Lansing to let legislators know that NPV was maybe not such a good idea.

They were apparently well received. And though there were no absolutes on future efforts, it was made clear that nothing will happen this year to give the progressive left it’s holy grail, a full blown democracy, when electing the president.  Norm Hughes who in large part organized the day long effort writes afterward:

Thank you to all the Patriots that went to Lansing today to talk with legislators. Several dozen were involved and they were truly great. We got firm commitments in both houses that National Popular Vote (NPV) will not be voted on this year. We also picked up at least 12 more NO votes on Convention Of States, meaning we have the votes to defeat it if they bring it up in the lame duck session.

This NPV snafu came at a terrible time, taking volunteers from campaigns to Lansing to educate the very candidates who want their help. I can tell you some top officials think it was one cluster ***. Those who took the Hawaii junket might have fulfilled their obligation to push it but it backfired, How are they going to explain that to their benefactors?

A “terrible time” indeed.

I can tell you that there are certain legislators who signed on that will still feel the pain.  When looking for the door knockers, local offices have found that certain representative candidates are not inspiring a ground swell of optimism.  They may well win their respective contests, but rightfully, they will have to work harder to do so.

Mr Hughes mentioned in a separate post on Facebook that some of the legislators responded positively to the Proportional Electors idea.  This is something which the electoral college was designed to accommodate.  There are two states, Maine, and Nebraska, which do not follow the winner take all formula.

Coming up next: Christians against Christ!

In a move that I heard rumblings about them for some time now, but felt they had slightly more of a chance of existing than, say, The Nain Rouge, Dogman, The Little Blue Man or even Luke The Spook, The Detroit News reported today that a group calling themselves “Republicans and Independents for Whitmer” have finally made their existence known.

Yes, the name is exactly what is says, although the “republicans” in the aforementioned name aren’t even on the radar when it comes to promoting anything even remotely close to Conservative Values.

Calling them RINO’s would actually be a complement to them.

I’m a little pressed for time today and have to keep this short, but will share one quick quite from Sen. Shirkey and Rep. Chatfield on these knuckleheads before I have to run.

“Anyone claiming to be a ‘Republican for Whitmer’ is someone opposed to lower taxes, limited government and fiscal responsibility.”

I will be touching on that glaringly obvious problem within the Michigan GOP and expanding on this post a little later.

Discord & Disarray

Between bad proposals, and the best intentions the timing couldn't be worse.

Lobbyists know that our legislators have blind spots.

Its not that all legislators are blind, ignorant, foolish, or even downright incompetent.  Just most of them falling into one or more of those categories.

Unfortunately, some have gone back to the trough of stupid ideas a little too often.  Enough in fact, that they don’t even see the real reasons they are suddenly inundated with far reaching demands for change emanating from the pits of hell masquerading as fixes that are long overdue.

The convention of states (COS), and National Popular Vote (NPV) are two such changes that if successful, could threaten our very Republic.  The COS, in a way that opens the doors to quite literally writing out the very protections enshrined in our constitution.  The NPV, as a means to enable mob rule, and permanently entrench those who can then control media and other information sources.

And what about that NPV?
