GOP-SplitRick Manning of Net Right Daily echoes current political CW accurately.

We have seen the efforts of the current GOP powers more strongly attacking the conservative base than attacking progressive ideology in Michigan.  It also seems to be a nationwide condition.  Writing in today’s lead NRD article touching primarily on Immigration, Manning points out that Republicans have remained the party most likely to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.  He writes:

I’ve had a few people ask me about what we can expect to see from the Michigan Legislature in the coming days.

My pat response has been to the effect nothing of substance for a few weeks. This is after all, an election year.

They are surprised by my response until I include the caveat that prognostication will hold only until November 5th. After than date, you will see legislation introduced that you would never have imagined by republicans.

Courage

One of the diseases of liberal progressivism, is the unraveling of the moral construct which binds out families together.

We have seen the ravages of progressivism in our urban centers.  We have seen the moral decay reach outside of those places as well, destroying the family institution. We know however, that strong, intact families are not only statistically more stable, but serve God best through his design. Broken and malformed families only serve other masters, as witnessed by Mallory Millet, who writes at Front Page Mag:

“..  We gathered at a large table as the chairperson opened the meeting with a back-and-forth recitation, like a Litany, a type of prayer done in Catholic Church. But now it was Marxism, the Church of the Left, mimicking religious practice:

“Why are we here today?” she asked.
“To make revolution,” they answered.
“What kind of revolution?” she replied.
“The Cultural Revolution,” they chanted.
“And how do we make Cultural Revolution?” she demanded.
“By destroying the American family!” they answered.
“How do we destroy the family?” she came back.
“By destroying the American Patriarch,” they cried exuberantly.
“And how do we destroy the American Patriarch?” she replied.
“By taking away his power!”
“How do we do that?”
“By destroying monogamy!” they shouted.

Their answer left me dumbstruck, breathless, disbelieving my ears.  Was I on planet earth?  Who were these people?

“By promoting promiscuity, eroticism, prostitution and homosexuality!” they resounded.

Indeed.

License Of Looters

The problem is not the expense of the tools, but the tools themselves.

hammerI have frequently argued that the problem with campaign finance is not the ability of donors to support candidates, but rather the destructive hammer that government wields.

Full disclosure, as we have argued on these pages is critical.  The process out in the open encourages good behavior, and provides a limiting effect on pandering to financial interests by politicos.  Even the amounts even being less important to the argument. Saying:

We DO agree that limits should be removed from campaign finance. We agree that limiting to an arbitrary amount can impede free speech and political expression. What is considered a fair contribution into the process is a completely subjective matter that can only be resolved by the person who is willing to contribute into that process.  A person’s individual priorities and where a subject reaches a level of importance are hardly the providence of external assignment.

The full argument making the point that ‘effect’ of the contributions  being known, lessens the harmful power of the influence.

Pay no attention to what we are doing here…

This afternoon, my sources informed me that the Macomb County Board of Commissioners – Government Operations Committee approved the “Macomb County Human Rights Policy” early this afternoon by a 7-4 vote.

Despite lacking any examples of “discrimination” to cite as justification for implementing such a policy in Macomb County, every democrat voted lockstep in supporting this, while every republican voted “no”.

Pay Falls for Low-Wage Men yet Women Still Far Behind,” found that real wages of Michigan workers have fallen by more than ten percent since 1979 for broad sections of the working class.

Hourly pay for low-wage workers of “prime working age” in Michigan fell 13.4 percent between 1979-2013, while pay for mid-wage workers of prime age fell 12.7 percent.

The collapse of wages in Michigan also illustrates president Obama’s and Governor Snyder’s “insourcing” policies, which involves pushing for lower corporate taxes and lower living standards and wages for workers in order to make American cities “attractive” for business. Snyder Obama Meet

Speaking at a Milwaukee factory in 2012, Obama celebrated the results of his and Snyder’s “bailout” policies in Michigan as a model for the rest of the country: What’s happening in Detroit can happen in other cities.

Declining work rates, stagnant wages, the rise of female-headed families, inferior education, and the arrival of millions of “immigrants” with poor education and low skills are little engines pushing up the poverty rate.

Gary Peters' War on a Woman

Gary Peters is a meanie.  I mean if he were a Republican running against a Democrat woman he’d be called a Bigot.  He’d be called a misogynist, a bastard, a limp-wristed woman-beater.  Gary Peters would be called shiftless, a career politician, a Wall Street predator, a piece of worthless cow shit.  But, since Gary Peters is a Democrat, I am the only one who would call him such things.  M-Live, The Free Press, Tim Skubick and the whores in the Liberal media call Terri Land all these things.  She hates women, she’s rich, she’s bought and paid for by outside interests, she loves rich people, etc etc.

I do see Terri Land as attacking a woman in this race because Gary Peters has no testicles.  The sagging chin and the shifty eyes pay tribute to the baby-killing Marxist that he is.  All Marxists like Peters have no will, no strength, no integrity, no balls.  Terri Land on the other hand, has large balls.  She’s picking on a girl here.  No, that’s insulting to women…Peters is a gelding.  His handler, Barack Obama, has his balls in a lockbox, to borrow a term.  Peters is all Cap and Trade and DREAM Act and Obamacare and other Marxist pogroms.  Whatever independence Peters had died long ago in NY on Wall Street.  He’s used to being told what to do and he fills the role beautifully.  I guess if you want a kowtowing, brainless, worthless marionette in the US Senate who will lie down with his ass in the air for Obama, you’ve got it in Peters.

Peters is a devout Communist.  His stance on how much he loves baby-killing is right in line with the Democrat platform.  He never met a violent illegal immigrant that he didn’t want to steal money from taxpayers for.  He’s all in for keeping blacks as servants to the state.  He loves tyranny, dysfunction, destruction, cowardice, greed, apathy, ignorance and slavery.  He’s a great Democrat.  He worked hand in hand to increase CAFE standards with the biggest job killer in US history, John Dingell.  Jennifer Granholm, his other mentor, is second, but Dingell worked for 50 years to kill nearly 750,000 UAW jobs.  You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose, but Peters can blow a Marxist with the best of them – even female Marxists like Granholm.

Oh & BTW – Convention Edition

Though many may be casting a protest vote, it won't likely be for Mark Schauer

Schauer-xBad guys is just plain bad guys.

We police our own, but fact of the matter is that Democrat Mark Schauer had the biggest campaign finance violation and fine that Michigan has seen to date.  In 2007 former RM editor and operator Nick DeLeeuw noted the unmitigated gall of Schauer, and the 22 counts of his election violations:

“Here’s how it worked.  Schauer decided to go ahead and raise a bunch of illegal campaign cash.  He received illegal money from Democrats including Carl Williams, Alexander Lipsey, Bob Schockman, Gretchen Whitmer, Mickey Switalski, Buzz Thomas, Liz Brater, Mike Prusi, Gilda Jacobs, Glenn Anderson and Mark Slavens and then pitched in $187,000 himself.  Mind you, the limit is $20,000.  

Once the Democrats realized they’d been discovered each of the folks who currently serve in the legislature went ahead and asked for refunds.  Essentially they said “oops, our mistake, don’t punish us for it!”  Prusi, Whitmer, Switalski, Brater, Thomas, Slavens and Jacobs all took their illegal cash back, essentially admitting they’d been caught with their hands in the cookie jar and trying to make things right (well after the fact).

But no such change of heart from Mark Schauer.  When he breaks the law he stands by his criminal activity!  And he stands by his man, too.  Ken Brock, the anti-Semite who’s racist comments drew the ire of everyone in Michigan except Mark Schauer, was the Senator’s treasurer on this particular money laundering operation and signed all of the papers.  “

The scheme was noted and investigated.
