Reminder: “Macomb County Human Rights Policy” to be voted on by Macomb County Board of Commissioners Thursday Morning.

Just a reminder to everyone that the Macomb County Board of Commissioners will be voting on the “Macomb County Human Rights Policy”  tomorrow morning (September 18th) at 9:00am in the County Administration Building (9th Floor)  in downtown Mount Clemens..

Short version for those of you who may be unaware, it is a method of incrementally expanding Elliot-Larsen to include LGBTIQ language.

A copy of the meeting packet is here (starting on page 6).

Also, given the amount of public support it received at the September 8th meeting (no one came out to speak in favor of it), the LGBTIQ-crowd will reportedly be out in force tomorrow.

OK, I just gotta ask... WTF does the "I" and the "Q" supposedly stand for in the Island of Misfit Toys subunit special protections racket?

I'll be honest here, even I'm not 100% sure anymore.

There's only so many ways the factory installed equipment can fit together, to say nothing about the software running everything.

The "definition" that was given to me in A^2 was IQ=Intersex Questioning.

Now I see that even that can get jumbled up some more.

More on this meeting in a few minutes....

Factory installed? Actually yes. Here is the medical definition of Intersex: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001669.htm
Can't figure out if you're uneducated or lack empathy. If you read the article and stand by your hateful statements then you have no right to call yourself a Christian.

Spare us from your *feelings* bullshit, Ms. Wexford Co. Precinct Delegate. They are mentally malfunctioning "misfit toys" no matter how much lobbyist monies they have thrown at their perversion since the 1970's. - CS

You know, the one thing that I can always count on when debating anyone defending the LGBTIQ-crowd is their knee-jerk reaction to attacking everyone who doesn't agree with their position simply because we are just being "hateful"

Even last Thursday when one of the speakers challenged the Macomb BoC to cite any examples of "discrimination", not one member of the BoC supporting this policy was able to.

To top things off, the speakers in support of the "Human Rights Policy" made the same accusations against the opponents even going so far as claiming that we condoned the Matthew Shepard incident.

I'm still at a loss to figure out what a 20-year old murder case in another state has to do with the hiring practices here in Macomb County today.

If you want to get p.o.'d at someone's definition, then I recommending getting the rest of your own side on the same page regarding speaking points. Remember: I got that definition from someone in the LGBTIQ-crowd in A^2 simply by asking them.

They were handing out flyers. I asked what it meant. They answered. I thanked them and we both went our separate ways without any incident.

I didn't need smash anyone's face in, break their legs, thrown them through a window, toss them off of the parking structure on Thompson, tie them to the back of a pickup truck and drag them down State St. or whatever dark and paranoid thoughts are running through the LGBTIQ-crowd's collective head.

I may not be the most overtly religious person on this site, but I will say that it does factor in with my actions towards others.

Lastly, my overall position still remains unchanged; Religious freedom trumps the intolerance of people who wish to use the power of the state to change how people perceive them. I hear that philosophy works well in places like North Korea and China.

Freedom-loving Americans don't take too kindly when people suggest that we do the same over here.
