Helluva job you’re doing there, Dave.

    SchostakGate...again?
"...Introduced by Rep. David Maturen (R) on February 10, 2015, to allow a property owner who was eligible for real estate transfer tax exemption at the time he or she acquired the property but did not get one to apply for a refund up to four years later. This would be retroactive if the bill becomes law...."
This is his very first Bill introduced as a sitting Representative...before declaring March 4th "Michigan Realtor Day".

"...Dave served on the Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners for 12 years and was chairman from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that he was a Brady Township (Kalamazoo County) Trustee for 14 years..."

A (short/nowhere near scratching the surface) list of what is happening in "South Kalamazoo County" area government of which Brady is the 'power center' (you pretty much are required to live on Indian Lake to assume the reins of power in this area)::
A village of under 3,000 is on (Authority-driven) track to spend "..over 100 million dollars.." including improvements to an illegally acquired/funded golf course community where majority vote leadership also resides...
266 landowners are about to lose their children's right to farm (simply work the land) formerly agriculture-zoned land. Lake people don't like farmers..and as it turns out...'farmers' won't stick up for agriculture either...if it risks angering the hands that feed.
Since the USDA is 'begging' us to build it...possibly the largest municipal sewer system that has been built in recent memory (from scratch). They say: "40 million (tops)..and that includes everything.." (yeah, right). The problem? $100 million dollars (plus) is currently being spent on everything 'but' fixing the sewer infrastructure money literally stolen years from the primary sewer population whose current sewer system is in shambles (for some reason, this fact doesn't make the public sewer meeting agendas).

About all one can say is that if it comes out of Kalamazoo County? (hey, we gave you Bolger and Upton..didn't we?)

    Question it.
