Michigan, Opinion, Part Time Legislature, Republicans, Taxes Yet, Cotter Orchestrates a Bogus Ousting? by Corinthian Scales • October 1, 2015 • 4 Comments Seriously, where did you Party lemmings find this buffoon? So, Speaker Cotter thinks that this is a good idea?
Amend the bill so that the first time any criminal who gets let out and goes back to their "old ways", those who voted for this bill will be charged as well for the same crimes when that criminal is recaptured, tried and convicted.
That even applies to Gov. Snyder if the signs this.
Granted, it'll make prison overcrowding even worse, but it will be a good social experiment to illustrate the "unintended consequences" of one's actions from misguided thinking.
Well, Rep. Cotter? Does your courage match your conviction?
Wow! I must have struck a little close to the mark when I posted my comment above to the MIaGOP YouTube channel (pretty much same as above).
They deleted my comment.
Well, at least you're seeing the Party for what it is.
It's not surprising, rather it is very disappointing.
The "conservative" republicans in Lansing are about as effective as the sniveling, cowardly yellow-bellies in Washington.
When you control both chambers in Congress, with the power of the purse, you could literally neuter that over-glorified street hustler Pres. B.O. and help to return our republic to better times.
But what have they done instead?
The same holds true up in Lansing.
They can reprogram existing revenues and use additional savings to fix our roads without any "need: to raise any taxes or fees. They can save Michigan Taxpayers literally billions of dollars by saying no to Snydercaid (i.e. Obamacare). They can save literally billions more by getting Michigan out of the business of saving failing governments like we have in Detroit, Highland Park & Flint with the EM laws and leave them instead to the tender mercies of the bankruptcy lawyers.
And they can show how well they believe what they are shoveling by accepting responsibility for letting criminals on the street as a direct result of their votes.
Their silence (and subsequent "scrubbing" of my comment) on that one simple measure speaks volumes on where their priorities really are.
