If there was any doubt as to whether or not an education actually means being intelligent.

This post is going to be a little bit of what happened to me yesterday (and I’m pretty sure that some of you will be able to relate to it) and a little bit from my inbox.

I finally had a chance to spend some time with my friends over the weekend whom I haven’t seen in a while due to the unknown virus from unspecified origin ™. To put it very, mildly things didn’t go very smoothly.

These are friends (and they still are) that I’ve had going back several decades now. We don’t see eye-to-eye on all things politically. Despite that, we still got along over all that time and doing things that friends normally do for one another like helping each other out here and there and attending each other’s family events.

That ended about two years ago when they went into pretty much full lockdown mode, not wanting to have anything to do with anyone. Until last weekend, any attempts to meet earlier have crashed and burned when they would only agree to meet if certain ”precautions” were taken (mask wearing, “vaccine” status, meeting only in medically “safe” parts of the state, etc.).

I’m not 100% sure of what had changed.

Quite honestly, I didn’t care.

They were still my friends and I was still interested in meeting with them after they had finally agreed to drop their ludicrous conditions.

As sad as that is for them, how they choose to live their own lives is their concern. I had been living my life as close to normal as I could without succumbing to the fear and paranoia created by the propaganda promulgated by the government.

Speaking of which…

It’s Time to Defund U of M

It’s time to put the cards on the table, especially, since this state has a Democrat governor that chose to ignore her Constitutionally limited position and through her actions blew a $6B dollar hole in our state budget.

University of Michigan’s endowment fund 10/17/2019 = $12.4 BILLION.

University of Michigan, given by our state legislators for 2020 = $325,531,500 dollars of coerced TAXPAYER’S money.

Why is this being brought up?

U of M To Indoctrinate Detroit High Schoolers

Your tax dollars will be used to create the next generation of hard left social justice warriors.

The University of Michigan will open a new quasi charter public high school in partnership with the Detroit Public Schools Community District this Fall. The School at Marygrove will focus on social justice and engineering.  Mostly social justice. The Kresge Foundation is also involved in the school, presumably underwriting some of its finances.

The school will be situated in the former Marygrove College Liberal Arts Building at Wyoming and McNichols in Detroit:

Marygrove College was an esteemed Catholic post secondary education institution which was driven into the ground by Catholic social justice warriors over the last decade. It will be closing its doors just as the latest effort of the secular social justice warriors commences.  The left is nothing, if not determined.

I wasn’t aware that there was a court imposed exemption to a Constitutional Right?

On the plus side, I've just found a sizable down payment for that Michigan Income Tax cut.

Can anyone find an exemption for “sensitive places” in either the Michigan or US Constitutions?

I cannot.

And just who makes the asinine argument for “sensitive places”?

So What About The Big M?

The 'progressive' left will leave no institutions standing when it is through.

msu-towerHas the left destroyed all of our traditions yet?

Perhaps not, though progressives cannot abide by any roadblocks to the ultimate agenda of ‘change’ toward their vision of a Utopian prison for all.  David French in The Left Is Weaponizing Sports, reminds us that it ain’t over till every institution has been destroyed, and the bonds that hold us together have been severed:

While the NCAA — as perhaps the peak representative of progressive hypocrisy and cheap virtue signaling — is an easy target, its action raises a much more significant concern. Simply put, there are not many cultural spaces remaining where Americans can meet on more or less neutral ground — where Americans of all faiths and political beliefs can meet, unite, and share a positive communal experience.

Our political polarization is but one symptom of our increasing Balkanization. When I speak, I sometimes challenge audiences to name one significant cultural force or trend that is binding Americans together, rather than pulling them apart.

The NCAA is being used as a weapon.

Which begs a great big question:Aren’t we supposed to store weapons in a safe place?”
