In The End

Some things that must be said about the election of Nov 6

There was Chaos

The election of Nov 6 revealed much about our future, and what makes up a significant part of the voting public in our state. Michigan is now subject to the whims of estrogen,THC, envy, and puddle brained TV watchers.

Beginning Jan 1, we have a Governor who lies about her mother’s health care to get elected. Who advocates the further expansion of medicaid, but will not accept it in the family dental business. Who participates in the Vagina monologues; not from some little poetry club, but from the capitol steps in a way that makes Donald Trump’s worst days seem civil.

Beginning January 1, we have a Secretary of State who oversees our elections, but apparently couldn’t take the time to notice that workers in her office in 2010 were engaging in election fraud.  should there be any surprise if they will find suitable jobs for their efforts in the new administrations?

Beginning January 1, a nutty lesbian will be the Attorney General of Michigan.  While this may seem an abusive way to describe our state’s next top lawyer, it is actually objective and accurate, if only from observing the personal way in which she treated her staff and the in-your face ways she flouts her unnatural life choices.

Beginning January 1 and if of age, you can get buzzed, high, stoned, wasted, crunked, etc., ..legally.  You can carry around blunts, dope, weed, reefer, Mary-jo, Burrito, bag, and more ..legally.  You still cannot drive with it in your system however, so try to figure out how best to crawl to that factory job without getting behind the wheel playa.

Beginning January 1, the old gerrymandering scheme is out!  The NEW Gerrymandering scheme is in!  Only THIS TIME, it will be with the assistance of the Secretary of State who embraces election fraud. With the new 2020 census and fresh ‘apolitical’ eyes, what could possibly go wrong?

Beginning January 1, we go back to straight ticket voting. We also embrace voter fraud on a scale that we have never seen before.  With same day registration and voting, only the most politically interested people will vote, Voters can be dredged up to suit the political needs of the day.

Beginning January 1, Michigan has two fewer Republicans representing it in DC, and has lost the opportunity to have one of the finest candidates (John James) we have had in a long time be our US Senator.

Michigan’s State House will barely remain in GOP hands with a 56 to 54 seat advantage.  The State Senate by a similar margin clinging on as a firewall of sorts, 22-16 at the time of this writing.  A small victory, but an essential firewall

Especially given the terrible outcome in the Michigan Supreme Court with the addition of two gun hating justices added to the mix. Things will be messed up for a while.

How did this happen?

Everything you need to know about this election can be learned from one county commission district in Northern Michigan.

We’ve all heard the phrase ‘low information voter’ before.  It might usually be discarded as a derogatory term for those who would elect people with whom we might often find disagreement.  If only it were so simple.

Acme Township, East Bay township and Whitewater township each have components that make up Grand traverse County’s 6th commission district.  It is relatively small with about 8,500+ registered voters.  It is comprised of both wealthy and poor, professional and working class, and would be considered a decently educated district.

It also happens to be my district.

In this district, an incumbent Republican was replaced in the primary by a challenger who campaigned solidly on some of the local issues relevant to county responsibilities. His win was followed by more than adequate efforts of preparing for the upcoming general election, and those efforts continued even after the discovery that the Democrat candidate had packed up and moved 80 miles away.

The Democrat candidate and a placeholder for Democrats who wanted to flesh out their ballots in Michigan, didn’t care enough to notify the clerk or others prior to the printing of the ballots.  The Democrat candidate who’s absence was not even known until a neighbor saw light through the curtain-less windows of her empty home.

And the Democrat candidate who STILL received nearly 2700 votes, roughly 40% of the total of votes cast in the election after she had already been gone for months.  She still got the blessing to represent the district from 40% of those who felt it was their obligation to vote.

It somewhat reflects poorly on those who insist on saying “get out and vote ..even if you are on the other side..” Wouldn’t you think?  To what end does this help anyone? Why on earth would we want the under-informed to even consider the pretense of such a responsibility.

And to be clear, we didn’t have straight ticket voting this year.  It will be the first and only time in Michigan that we did not have straight ticket voting because of the passage of proposal 3.  What this means is that voter had to consciously decide to fill in the oval for the non existent candidate.  If they had known, perhaps there might well have been more than 18 write-ins?

Does this not mean that the ‘low information voter’ title is not well earned?

And if those voters didn’t have the wherewithal to learn a little about the candidate who would represent them most closely, in order to find out they were voting for a ghost, how well could they possibly be informed to vote on proposals which can ruin their children’s lives or decide who best should have overarching policy effect on the state in which they live?

One might think that a responsible media would seek out such irresponsibility on the part of a candidate, or party that would nominate such irresponsibility.  One might think that such a media might make an attempt to fully inform the electorate before an election that not all candidates are resent and accounted for.

Of course given the promiscuous staffing of biased actors in said media, it should come as no surprise that the peddling of omission is preferable.  Locally, our ‘news’ outlets are as fully informing as those on the national stage, and it ain’t fit to print unless it provides a negative narrative on a conservative or Republican effort or candidate.

40 Percent of the voters in that district apparently did not know the simplest of facts; that a candidate had gotten out of Dodge.  Even though it was no secret among social media mavens and pundits, 40 percent of those who thought it their ‘responsibility’ to go and elect a candidate which they apparently knew nothing about.

How can we possibly hope to leave our children with any semblance of good government when we are handicapped up front with nearly half of the electorate having no clue of what they actually support? What kind of government is spawned from such innocence and the willful neglect fostered by the recalcitrant left, and obfuscation of fact by our 4th estate.

And sadly this isn’t even limited to Michigan.  Even a dead pimp earned a political seat this election. Though I suppose the cupidity of voters )And state law that allows the dead winner’s party to select a replacement winner) might well have played part in the fiasco that played out in Nevada, it HAS happened before.

Nevertheless, absent the truth, no-one can make a fully informed choice.  Some folks have no interest in the truth, some are fed what they want to hear, and some have necessary information purposefully withheld by ‘objective’ reporting.

Grand Traverse County’s Commission district 6 ought not be seen as a one-off, and can be reliably used as an indicator of statewide omission of fact.  Nearly half of the state has no clue who they elect, why they are electing them, or why they ought not elect them.

And the ability of television and news outlets to control those votes by control of the information that guides those votes is strong.  and for those who don’t indulge the traditional media, the ability of social media giants to have a say in what is fake-news or misinformation is equally strong.

Michigan was inundated this election cycle with outside money controlling our political messaging.  But it was the inability of the voter to become self aware that is truly the issue.

Some of those who voted for the non existent candidate in Commission 6 might well have been able to parrot the slogans of the progressive left on incredibly complex federal issues.  But knowing the simple fact that your local candidate no longer exists is absurdly abstract.

For this we will suffer the proven failure of ‘progressive’ policy management in our state for likely the next 8 years and beyond.

Or until we are once again ‘blown away.’

    Excellent. WHAT WERE/ARE THEY THINKING?????

And lost to the mainstream was Billy Gates admitting that Common Core, is an international dud which he financed (with a few other geniuses, like the Bush family). Common Core is educational malpractice and negligence. Had this been widely publicized, we would maybe had a different outcome at the State School Board. I would like to thank Tami Carlone, for her excellent efforts. Thank goodness the group of five largely didn't make it on our school board here. Watching the school board candidate forum, poorly attended, sent chills up my spine at how clueless if not outright stupid this gang of five was.

A very good recap of our state and country's situation. We are surrounded by very ignorant people who vote out of passion from either watching the talking heads or reading jaundiced blather. They both are committing deep civic error. Reports are coming in that our local news paper, the Record-Eagle, has been denying print rights to those opinions of conservatives. Is it, welcome to Amerika comrade? Isiah the prophet rightly speaking by revelation of God had this to say. "13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. 14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it." Real America is not there yet. It is the job of every righteously oriented patriot to stand for the truth in time - while we still have time.
