All the Other Stuff

I wonder if this can be made into a class action lawsuit?

The Detroit News has reported this afternoon that Gov. Witless is facing a fourth lawsuit filed against her for questionably written and dubiously “enforced” executive orders.

The lawsuit, filed in the US Eastern District Court of Michigan by Attorney David Helm this afternoon on behalf of four Michiganians, contends the Executive Orders are “arbitrary, capricious, irrational and abusive.” and a violation of the First and Fifth Amendments.

This is on top of a lawsuit filed earlier by Attorney Philip L. Ellison in the Michigan Court of Claims yesterday for Gov. Witless’ E.O.2020-38 which delays FOIA responses.

Another lawsuit was filed earlier by Attorney Robert Muise from the American Freedom Law Center on behalf of Andrew Belanger, who was protesting at an abortion clinic in Detroit. That case was subsequently dismissed with prejudice on Tuesday and the City of Detroit agreed to drop the citation.

Finally, there also is the case of Esshaki v. Whitmer et al (20-10831) pertaining to the case of Eric Esshaki who cannot collect the required number of signatures to run against certifiable nut-job Haley Stevens. That case was scheduled to be heard this afternoon at 1:30. There is nothing new to report as of the time of this post.

Four lawsuit in about a week…what are the odds?

I cannot help but wonder if Mr. Helm is looking for others to sign onto his lawsuit?

Stay tuned…

Wasn’t that YOUR job???

Senate Majority Leader Shirkey is taking to the interwebs, and here on social media, this week in order to engender support to re-open Michigan for business.

Say, didn’t they hold a session in the Michigan Senate just last Tuesday to take action on this very topic?

Can anyone tell me how that went?

Now he wants us to call Gov. Witless’ office to complain?

Did your smoke-filled backroom deal with her people not go according to plan Sen. Shirkey?

Me??? Showing actual leadership.

I would be far more concerned with our governor’s actions at this time, than with a bug.

They say that in building and maintaining a brand, messaging is vitally important.

The Guv didn’t stray too far from that lesson tonight.

Well, this should be good. I think?

From the inbox…

I’ve been told that the guv will be holding a statewide town hall, on Thursday, April 2nd at 7:00pm

Even though there was one last week, this is apparently the first one that will be shown here in Southeastern Michigan on every local television station.

Given her SS-orders, they will be taking questions from the public at the link I included above. No chance to attend one of these in person, even though she had the media attending in-person her others forays in front of the TV cameras.

Say, can the governor be cited for violating her own “social distancing” orders?

Will she go over and above her “emergency powers” and announce the cancellation the rest of the public school year because of Detroit?

Will she ask for an extension of her “emergency powers”…due to expire April 13th?

Will she have a plan on how to address the monumental economic damage her orders have caused Michigan’s economy (without blaming Pres. Trump)?

Tune in and find out.

It’s not as if you can go out and do anything else…

At least you won’t get the sniffles.

And right about now, the law of unintended consequences is kicking in (if you actually believe this was all really “unintended”).

What might this little factoid be, you may ask yourself?

Enough already!

This was not the piece that I had originally intended to post this evening.

I was originally going to go into last week’s election as it related to the November General and some disturbing numbers.

Now, after getting blasted with e-mails and texts this afternoon from family and friends relating to Gov. Witless and her latest power grab, this is the question that begs to be asked: When will Michiganians say “enough is enough”?

Vote!

One of the disturbing things that I’ve come across while taking care of a troubling computer issue this weekend (“troubled computer” in question now dealt with in a very cathartic manner), is the number of people who are not aware of the OTHER issues on the ballot on Tuesday.

In between what can literally be described as the “chicken little” mentality in the MSM regarding yet another bug going around (practice basic hygiene…problem solved), very little (if any) coverage has been given to the other issues down ballot whose supporters are hoping that you either a.) not notice, or b.) just don’t bother showing up to vote at all.

I’m going to do a quick recap on what’s at stake.
