Michigan Democratic Party Sending us and our Money Back to Indiana

Mr. Happy from Westland, has a toothless, nanny government bill he’d like y’all hear about.
A lawmaker is planning to introduce legislation this week that would reverse Michigan’s decision to legalize louder, more powerful fireworks.
State Sen. Glenn Anderson says the 2011 law was a “monumental mistake” and he heard countless complaints after the July 4th holiday. The Westland Democrat’s bill would reinstate Michigan’s ban on commercial-grade fireworks.
In response to complaints, the Legislature last year gave local governments power to restrict the use of fireworks on the day before, during and after a national holiday. But Anderson says municipalities have struggled to do so, and police departments can’t address noise and safety problems.
Because you *think* you can legislate protecting stupid, Glenn?
Be proud of yourselves, Michigan Senate District 6.

Ellis, might want to consider sending some hush monies…
“Bottom line, I strongly endorse Brian Ellis because he will be an effective conservative voice and a consistent conservative vote for solutions that will help hardworking Michigan taxpayers,” Hokestra said. “Brian Ellis will not just talk conservative, but he will vote conservative.”
BWAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Sure he will, Pete.
The last line has been a cornerstone of the Ellis campaign, which has continuously denounced several votes the libertarian-minded Amash has taken in Congress.
Ellis has racked up several big endorsements this cycle over Amash, R-Cascade Township, including Right to Life of Michigan [Big Yawn], Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce [who doesn’t like a Tax Hike for prevailing wage, anyway], the Michigan Farm Bureau’s political action committee [$5,000 to Debbie Stabenow? Go figure] and others.
Michigan Rep. Mike Rogers [taking a break from palling around with the Moonslime Brotherhood] snubbed Amash, too, by appearing at a $1,000-per-plate breakfast fundraiser for Ellis in June.
Nothing like having the MI-GOP’s perennial loser Pete TARPstra flapping his gums about you or, a jagoff like Mike Rogers in your corner.

Was just reading through an interesting article over at Michigan Capitol Confidential, which highlights the ongoing damaging affects that FDR’s “New Deal” has on Michigan farmers.
Agricultural Price Controls are the Pits
Michigan cherry farmers, others, affected
Ron French has a great article in Bridge Magazine looking at “the crazy economics of Michigan’s favorite pitted fruit.” The piece describes some of the federal cherry regulations that are mostly left over from the New Deal of the 1930s: For rest, CLICK HERE.
So, naturally, what nasally, lilting way of speech, crony Big Government Progressive fool is just now releasing a propaganda video on his YouTube account?

This just in from the “Take a vote, not a vacation” files.
More people have enrolled in Medicaid’s expansion in less than four months than were expected to sign up in the entire first year of the program, the Snyder administration announced Thursday.
The expansion, called the Healthy Michigan Plan [click HERE], opened April 1 with a first-year goal of 322,000 sign-ups. The state said it exceeded that projection Thursday with more than 323,022 residents enrolled.
The Michigan Department of Community Health estimated 477,000 Michiganians would sign up by the end of 2015. The Healthy Michigan Plan opens the federal health insurance program for the poor to all adults with incomes up to 133 percent of the poverty level, or $30,000 a year for a family of four, as allowed under the federal Affordable Care Act.
“We still continue to see a couple thousand (new enrollments) every week get added to the program,” Community Health spokeswoman Angela Minicuci said Thursday [Go figure, Angela]. “It’s a little bit too early to say how long it will take to reach (total expected enrollment.) We certainly will continue to see that number grow.”
….Snyder was among a small group of Republican governors who broke with party lines to support expanding Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act. He waged a bitter battle with Michigan’s Republican-controlled House and Senate to push the measure through last year.
What’s this? Karen Bouffard didn’t include the part about being forced into estate confiscation? Nah, I don’t think that would be a selling point for her propaganda.
Anyhoo, congratulations on Public Act 107 of 2013, ya bunch of Obama enabling Nerdpublicrat fools, and yes, that includes these two “conservative” frauds, too.

My inbox never ceases to amaze me. I really do keep a good circle of Patriot friends. Here is a li’l something sent to me from my friend Pres, that relates directly to what Gov. Snyder has accomplished by Executive Order #2014-2, and his wants of 50,000 cheap laborers for his Big Corporate cronies.
Maybe it’s time we re-think what a proud American brand the Harley Davidson motorcycle company is. Not too long ago I told you about the man whose warranty claim was rejected by the company because he was flying an American flag on his bike. And who can forget their new addition of an all-electric motorcycle (seriously?) But those things pale in comparison to a story I just found: Harley Davidson uses the services of a company that helps them replace fairly paid American employees with cheap foreign-born workers through the H-1B visa program.
The LA Daily News tells us about Kelly Parker, a divorced mother of three, who landed her dream job at Harley Davidson in tech support. That dream turned into a nightmare when she was laid off less than a year later, replaced by an H-1B “guest worker” from India. The biggest indignation: Parker had to train her replacement before she was fired.

Truth be told, THAT gun has probably never been fired.
Michigan is indeed a sportsman’s paradise.
Naturally, the coveted NRA scoring and endorsement will be flaunted by would-be Michigan politicos who want an edge up on their opponents. In the strange circumstance however, the NRA has been rewarding legislative support for ammo registration in Michigan yet is fighting it in California.
Go figure.
Yes, in Michigan, several legislators are being punished by the NRA scoring process for voting against a package of bills designed to ‘Keep ammo out of the hands of felons.’ Certainly the NRA is acting responsibly, right? Until you carefully think through what it takes to enforce such an act.
Lets consider what the NRA uses as legislative candidate scoring criteria first.
A+: A legislator with not only an excellent voting record on all critical NRA issues, but who has also made a vigorous effort to promote and defend the Second Amendment.
A: Solidly pro-gun candidate. A candidate who has supported NRA positions on key votes in elective office or a candidate with a demonstrated record of support on Second Amendment issues.
AQ: A pro-gun candidate whose rating is based solely on the candidate’s responses to the NRA-PVF Candidate Questionnaire and who does not have a voting record on Second Amendment issues.
B: A generally pro-gun candidate. However, a “B” candidate may have opposed some pro-gun reform or supported some restrictive legislation in the past.
D: An anti-gun candidate who usually supports restrictive gun control legislation and opposes pro-gun reforms. Regardless of public statements, can usually be counted on to vote wrong on key issues.
Emphasis in bold.
