The Ability To Strike

Unions, and particularly the UAW ought to be the biggest Trump supporters around.

The temp issue that seems to be holding up the negotiations could easily be rectified in a south looking economy.

General Motors would/could plan a shrinkage, but for the Trump economy which promises more reward no matter which way the negotiations turn. The economy is booming and set for an even greater long term growth cycle.  Partly due to more permissive regulatory climate, and a favorable correction of trade rule imbalance.  The US of A is no longer subsidizing the world’s oppressive government in the same way, and our balance sheet is strong.

The unions right now have an upper hand.  Not because of successes of liberal/left policies, but because of the success of Trump, and pro growth, which puts a strain on the available work force.  In other words when everyone is working, no successful business can take existing employees for granted.  This is supply and demand in action.

For labor, this is nothing short of utopia.  From a bargaining perspective who is more advantaged in a strong economy that has historically low unemployment?

It needs to be said that Donald Trump has been a friend to labor.  How better than by simply providing an environment where they can legitimately exercise a lesson in ‘value?’

That Has To Hurt

When something is SO bad it cannot be ignored.

Jocelyn Benson and Dana Nessel are probably less than enthused.

Less enthused about their prosecutorial discretion, given the fact they must actually dress down one of their own.  However, the fact that Southfield Clerk Sherikia L. Hawkins could possibly have been reached at her office, is a testament to the real justice in an election fraud case that these two ‘guardians’ of our vote are willing to pursue.  Nessel’s grand opening:

” “Voting is fundamental to the very essence of our democracy,” Nessel said during a Monday news conference. “It is incumbent upon state governments to safeguard the electoral process and ensure that every voter’s right to cast a ballot is protected.” “

Trust us to make this right.

Followed by Benson’s:

Hawkins’ alleged actions, did not alter the outcome of any election, Benson stressed, and “there were no voters that were disenfranchised.”

“All valid votes in the election were ultimately counted and the final official vote total was accurate,” Benson said.

Uh huh.

Downplay the potential damage, right?  In other words, “don’t worry, this is a one off, and all the Democrats won where Democrats win.”    ‘Writing a letter,’ Benson clearly sent a message however:

Benson said she sent a letter to Hawkins on Monday, saying that the pending charges compromise her ability to administer the upcoming Nov. 5 city election. In the interim, she said, the state’s Bureau of Elections with work with staff in the Southfield clerk’s office to handle all administration of elections in the city.

“My office will remain actively involved” to ensure elections in Southfield run smoothly, Benson said. “Our response is careful, measured, swift and the consequences are severe.”

Benson: “leave the ballot fraud to the pros.”

Sending the unmistakable message “Call me next time before you further embarrass us you rank amateur.”

A budget message to Michigan's legislature about our universities

There is no upside to our state by expanding financial support to Michigan universities.

These indoctrination centers have done everything to subvert our cultural norms, provide aid and comfort to our enemies, and provide a base for partisan enclaves.  They have taken 10s of billions of dollars in the past several decades and given us what?

The University of Michigan is paying $10.6 million annually in salary and benefits to employ 82 diversity officers, including 76 on its Ann Arbor campus.

For that amount of money, more than 700 students could receive full in-state tuition at a time when the cost of college continues to rise, UM-Flint Professor of Finance and Business Economics Mark J. Perry has argued.

Perry has been a financial watchdog of sorts regarding UM’s DEI staffing, highlighting his research on his personal website for the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative public policy think tank. He’s also successfully internally challenged UM faculty awards specified for minorities and women with Title IX complaint threats.

“… Once you move away from the academy/higher education, with its uniform leftist, progressive, liberal echo chamber, I think you find that mainstream Americans object to the diversity efforts that contribute to higher tuition and rising student loan debt that are contributing to the unsustainable ‘higher education bubble,'” Perry said.

Perry pretty much captures the entire argument.

While Michigan’s budget deadline looms, there is an opportunity to start walking back the $2 billion in funding to ‘higher ed’ in the state.  Complaints about the 0.5% increases vs. a desired 3% increase should not only fall on deaf ears, but should be fully repudiated with a universal university CUT of 25-50% until academics becomes the main focus in our taxpayers subsidized cultural petrie dishes.

I will repeat again that our constitution requires support for these leftist incubators, but it does not stipulate the level of support.

If Whitmer wants more money to the roads and primary education, or if we as a state want to properly fund our hidden liabilities going forward, it is time to move the resources from where it hurts us.  We owe these money pits nothing. Make the universities more competitive again by eliminating their slush moneys.

Make Education Great Again!

Healthy Roads

Former State Senator touches on real reason for continuously expanding Michigan budget.

Pat Colbeck opines on the compromises being paved in Lansing.

“What didn’t get much notice a few years back is that within months of passing a $600 million gas tax hike to ostensibly fix the roads, the state quietly passed a budget “supplemental” bill which transferred $400 million in general funds from the transportation budget to backfill potholes in Medicaid Expansion (aka Healthy Michigan or Obamacare expansion).

You see, the gas tax increase was never truly about our roads. It was about leveraging what is a hot button issue to voters (i.e. the lousy condition of our roads) so that they could have more “walking around money” for other priorities aligned with so-called “special” interests. “

Backfill for healthy Michigan.

Apparently, Medicaid expansion in Michigan is on life support.  And now a great big gas tax is needed to move some more road monies into a transfusion bag.

Should we be at all surprised?

Bueller?

Religious training going on in our public schools?

Sometimes I wonder where those losers who bitch about every cross on a public hill go in the off seasons?

Obviously, they musty be on vacation now. Invocations for public meetings must wear their doth-protest out just a little too much. No noise yet, even as The religion of peace makes new headway into our taxpayer funded indoctrination centers.

Truthfully, this should not have been allowed to happen.  We should have recruited Dave Agema for governor when we had the chance.  Hindsight maybe?

From the Thomas More Center:

ANN ARBOR, MI – The Thomas More Law Center (TMLC), a national nonprofit public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, has uncovered evidence of a well-orchestrated Islamic propaganda campaign aimed at teachers in school systems throughout Michigan and several other states.

Concerned about a two-day mandatory teacher-training seminar on Islam conducted by a Muslim consultant hired by Michigan’s Novi Community Schools District, TMLC filed a Freedom of Information Act request for documents related to the workshop.

Richard Thompson, president and chief counsel of the Law Center, commented on the results of their investigation, “We found that the teachers were subjected to two days of Islamic propaganda, where Islam was glorified, Christianity disparaged, and America bashed—all funded by Novi taxpayers.”

Moreover, during the past five years the school district has presented no teacher-training seminars focusing on Christianity, Judaism or any other religion – only Islam.

I suppose there is one explanation.

If we weren’t calling it a religion any longer, instead referring to it correctly as a political ideology, it might make sense.

Seems Prudent

Representatives Tlaib & Omar (or whatever her REAL name is) denied entrance to Israel

No comment from me is necessary.

Wayne Dupree opines correctly:

If you run a company, you don’t choose the one person who seems to hate your company and hate another company you do business with, to represent your company at their company. It simply makes no sense. Everything they do and say reflects poorly on us.

Omar just went on one junket to Ghana. What has either of these women accomplished for their constituents so far? Tlaib represents Detroit, one of the most troubled cities in the United States. How does a visit to Israel help Detroit or Minneapolis?

Well it DOES get them out of the country ..temporarily.

Whitmer to Assist Trump Administration Deportation Schedule

Whitmer To Document Undocumented (illegal) aliens)

Wait …What?

Apparently, Michigan Governor Whitmer would like to collect addresses for all of the illegal population in the Mitten State.  She is advocating the collection of such addresses in the way cops used to invite criminals to a party in their honor.  By giving them the chance to show up and identify themselves.  from the Lansing State Journal:

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer appeared to support a change in state law to issue driver’s licenses to undocumented immigrants in an impromptu interview given to an immigrants rights organization during the Democratic presidential debates in Detroit.

“We need to ensure that everyone’s got a path to getting a license, so they’ve got identification,” Whitmer, a Democrat, said in a video released by the group Movimiento Cosecha, after an organizer for the group asked her if she favored issuing driver’s licenses to undocumented immigrants.

“That’s something that’s important to me, it’s important to our economy, and it’s important to the people of Michigan.”

Excellent.

Identification.

Fire up the FOIA mill, and alert ICE. We’ll have them right where we want them.
