That may be the stupidest strategic move I have seen in the age of the internet. 99% of this state isn't Ann Arbor or Huntington Woods when it comes to guns.
Dan, ones Principles are not something to be thought of as a "strategic move".
With any luck, and over time of living Life 101, you may be able to understand the concept of that one day.
The problem here is there really isn't any choice this November.
So far our "choices" are:
Philosophically challenged incumbent "republican" Rick Snyder.

socialistdemocrat Mark Schafer.The Michigan Taxpayers Party has essentially gone dark. Their website hasn't been updated in sometime and I can't find anything about anyone running or even what they are doing right now (nor have I gotten any response from their posted contact info).
The Michigan Libertarian Party is holding their convention in Howell later today. No word of who may be running (or even if they are running anyone).
KG, the "choice" is not a problem at all. If one votes for either Schauer or, Snyder, they are rewarding behavior that will breed more of the same garbage.
With the wealth of knowledge instantly accessible at the end of a computer, have not The Sheeple learned one damn thing from history? Or, is the old saying, the masses will always be asses the rule?
