You know that you’ve been played, right?
And what are you going to do about it?
{More below the fold.}
This really shouldn’t have come as a huge surprise to anyone.
You try to play nice with someone like Gov. Witless.
You surrender “compromise” to her petulant demand that her SS-orders should remain in effect (while releasing speaking points to Caucus members to tell their constituents complaining to your office staff that this is what Pres. Trump is recommending). Never mind the obvious fact that her “commands” are a clear and blatant violation of our Constitutional Rights (1,2,4,5,6,7…just for starters).
You not only fail extract some form of guarantee that this will eventually end, but also can’t even take a roll-call vote earlier this week? Or, was that also part of some undisclosed “agreement” whose details you don’t want made public? Slick Rick absolutely loved pulling that same stunt with the democrats.
You are now looking at the bleak future that is Michigan’s economy when the small businesses who employ most Michiganians shut down permanently because you didn’t have the guts to stand up to the guv and argue that EVERY Michigan business is essential. How long do you realistically think that they will stay open, even if her SS-order is somehow lifted at the end of the month?

Gov. Whitmer’s decision to extend the stay-at-home order for another three weeks without commonsense revisions will unnecessarily hurt regions of our state and sectors of our economy that can operate safely.

Especially when they’ll be moving the goalpost with this little gem:
“”DR. FAUCI: Yeah, I think if we get to the part of the curve that Dr. Birx showed yesterday when it goes down to essentially no new cases, no deaths at a period of time, I think it makes sense that you’re going to have to relax social distancing.”
Can anyone tell me what communicable virus has ever been completely eliminated in recent memory? Yep, I fail to see any light at the end of the tunnel there.
And then adding insult to injury, you have a governor and her fellow democrats who are not only insulted that people aren’t taking them seriously (I cannot imagine why), but are taking steps that will instigate a large scale riot if they play their cards right. IMHO, that is their end game here. Never let a good crisis go to waste when you can create an emergency where none existed before.
Gov. Witless is absolutely loving the power she can wield with impunity. Don’t think for a minute that AG Nessel will step in at any point. The Triumvirate of Terror looks after their own.
Michigan Republicans, you have been made to look like fools this week!
The question here now is what do you intend to do about it?
Good thing that asshole Rick Snyder, who essentially campaigned for “Half” Whitmer, hired all those goddamn State Troopers and DNR jackboots, huh?
One of the few things I can appreciate that Granholm did was that she culled those two loose cannon departments.
The nut doesn't fall far from the tree:
Look, I get that backroom dealings have been going on for longer than I can remember and STILL continue to go on to this day. The fact that one of my snitches essentially told me to "shut the hell up", after reading my post this morning confirms without a doubt my suspicions on that troubling point above.
Low and behold, with our unregulated and unaccountable DNR jackboots- April 30 is not enough!

The legislature needs to cut the DNR's funding in half. They are evil.
