February 26 Gubernatorial Townhall Forum In Traverse City

GOP town hall event

The stage is ready.

The candidates who are serious about reaching out and communicating with the public have been traveling the state holding town-hall events, and answering the questions on Michiganian minds.

Join the 2018 Republican Gubernatorial candidates lt.governor Brian Calley, State senator Patrick Colbeck, Dr. Jim Hines, and (invited – not confirmed) Bill Schuette as they offer their insight into better government and state management issues.

I will be the moderator.

Monday February 26, 7PM Traverse City.

Streeters Center 1669 S Garfield Ave, Traverse City, MI 49686

    Fap, fap, fap....

Boji Colbeck has no traction, and Gilligan Calley is a loser.

    Continue on...

At least these guys are willing to engage. Its not a done deal that Schuette does not however. I would love to see them throw a fourth lectern out there.

It takes a bit to do all these townhall events, and I am willing to give credit where due.

I've worked with the people putting these things together in my corner of the state.

It can be frustrating at times dealing with the scheduling along with the media and the logistics at the venue (especially trying to discern whether or not a "republican" will have the the intestinal fortitude to face other "Republicans").

But, when all is said and done, I like to think that something worthwhile was accomplished since it'll probably be the only opportunity for voters (read: friends and neighbors) to see first hand whom (or what) they'll be voting for come election day, rather than second-hand via the filter of newspapers and mailings.

So before I forget, kudos on what is appearing to be a good event tonight.

On a side note, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Schuette to make a surprise last-minute appearance at your Town Hall.

His "unwillingness" to directly face the public hasn't gone unnoticed.

Side note part two, Sen. Colbeck will be attending the Sterling Heights/Utica Republicans Meeting on Wednesday, February 28th at 7:00pm in Nick's 22nd Street Steak House located in Shelby Township.

OMG I can't wait--and come, bring your $15 bucks to benefit the Constitution Celebration event 9/22/18, at 5:00, Louie-Louie's same building as the hall and before the event. KG, these are my gigs (because I didn't say no--gotta remember that no is an option), and the help I've received has been overwhelmingly wonderful from all the candidates as well as the community. I had a couple of connections with Scheutte (and got his people bombarded with request for his presence) and he really needs to be here. Thanks Jason--soooooooo looking forward. Yo Doug Streeter, ya outdid yourself on this.

Always all about the shekels ... why cuckservatives will always lose. New day has happened. Something St.Ronnie never envisioned.

Ps. Bill has no reason to hang out with losers and nobodies.

Shot: "Centria Healthcare, the autism therapy provider under investigation for Medicaid fraud, has been among the most generous political donors to Lt. Gov. Brian Calley, who backed the company's successful bid for an $8-million state grant."

Chaser: "In 2007 Rick Snyder used his expert knowledge of the MEDC operation to game his very own grant of taxpayer $millions (7.5 of them big boys) for his company, Ardesta. What does Ardesta do? It invests in research firms.. One of those investment types in the area of "life sciences" Life sciences.."

Whew!!!! It's over KG--it was a wonderful evening incorporating all the lessons learned from the other town-halls, we here in Traverse City pulled off this GALA event without a hitch. It really helped that our local radio stations announced the event hourly in the local news broadcasts--and the newspaper--okay it was deep inside, at the fold in the Sunday paper, printed it, even quoting Jason Gillman, our moderator, who did such an excellent job--and the venue--imagine the above photo with flags of Michigan and the US on the side screens--all the seats were covered sending the message that those in attendance are important. What surprised and elated me is folks attended from all over the state--any excuse to visit Traverse City evidently is gold. I'll definitely be doubling my fees for the next event.
