Enough already!

This was not the piece that I had originally intended to post this evening.

I was originally going to go into last week’s election as it related to the November General and some disturbing numbers.

Now, after getting blasted with e-mails and texts this afternoon from family and friends relating to Gov. Witless and her latest power grab, this is the question that begs to be asked: When will Michiganians say “enough is enough”?

{Continued below the fold}

It’s bad enough that the governor had invoked “emergency” power to shut down the schools. I was going to put on my “Funcle” hat on later this week to help pitch in. Not an easy task when just about every institution from the Henry Ford Museum to MiSci shut their doors due to contagion fears. I still have a BluRay/DVD collection along with Netflix, so at least I have a backup plan.

It was even worse that she finagled the Secretary of State offices to reduce their services due to the same lame excuse. They cannot even handle their current customer load currently. I still haven’t heard the end of it from my boss who had to wait three hours in line just to get plates. Now Gov. Witless wants to make a bad problem even worse.

Now, she’s trying to chip away at our economy by unilaterally closing the following: restaurants, cafes, coffee houses, bars, taverns, brewpubs, distilleries, clubs, movie theaters, indoor and outdoor performance venues, gymnasiums, fitness centers, recreation centers, indoor sports facilities, indoor exercise facilities, exercise studios, spas, and casinos.

Don’t have any money coming in to support your family? Not to fear, she’s got that one covered, too!

As the insanity continues according to Gov Witless;

“Fighting it will cause significant but temporary changes to our daily lives. By practicing social distancing and taking aggressive action now, the state is working to mitigate the spread of coronavirus so we reduce the risk that our health care system becomes overwhelmed. This is about saving lives. Michiganders are tough and we are going to get through this, but it will require everyone doing their part. That means making smart choices and not putting yourself or others at risk by going out in public unless it is absolutely necessary.”

Uh huh…

So, who is going to pay for all of this government benevolence again?

Look, it should be readily apparent where the next stroke of her pen will be to enforce this “social distancing” she’s so fond of promoting: shopping centers/malls, grocery stores, warehouses and manufacturing plants. One of them WILL be next on her hit list. Just watch.

The fact that the next target(s) in her sights has(have) deeper pockets, will mean that she’ll need to come up with a doozy of an excuse for shutting them down.

It should be immediately obvious to readers that this woman doesn’t have the slightest clue what she is doing.

Do we allow her to stay in office for two and a half more years, or do we start talking about what needs to be done?

    3.5 Billion she stroked out for the road bonding will seem like NOTHING after the effects of this overreach are felt.

    One thing that she lacks is any leadership experience, and the thing that the party she comes from lacks is MATH.

      i find it fascinating that San Fran would attempt to do anything.

      They can't manage shoplifting (much less open theft), and to put a curfew in place when the substance of their modern culture is street dwelling?

    One hour ago, DJT twitted: "Failing Michigan Governor must work harder and be much more proactive. We are pushing her to get the job done. I stand with Michigan!" There's some kinda code in here somewhere from DJT. Failing and standing with MI in same tweet is definitely a coded message. When does personal responsibility take over, or flaming the fears by her actions which might really be seen as clear over-reach. Even sovereign tribal land succumbed by closing casinos.

      Yup. Not sure I get the push by DJT, but she has already over reached.

        What I believe President Trump, was tweeting about is that after our incredibly thin-skinned, narcissistic gov. nitWhitmer did her little tantrum on MSDNC, it's about this, hence, "Failing Michigan Governor must work harder and be more proactive. We are pushing her to get the job done."

        Trump did not say the governors had to fend for themselves. Rather, Trump said, “respirators, ventilators, all of the equipment — try getting it yourselves. We will be backing you, but try getting it yourselves. Points of sales, much better, much more direct if you can get it yourself.

        Poof! PFM.... gov. nitWhitmer finally gets off her big ass and stops totally relying on President Trump to do her damn job for her.
