Perfect Example of why Conservative Americans Always Lose to the Progressive Left

Ingrid Jacques

Nicole Neily, the founder of Speech First, says she brought a similar case against the University of Texas in December and another suit is forthcoming.

“Sadly, there are many problems,” she says.

So credit the president for shining a light on a very real problem. But that’s where his involvement should end.

“There are terrible environments at many schools, but there are huge dangers that go with any federal effort to police expression,” says Neal McCluskey, director of the Cato Institute’s Center for Educational Freedom.

Whoa-Whoa-whoa-whoa, not so fast there, Ingrid.

Michigan Town Hall – We Build the Wall March 14th (Update!!!)

Okay, I just got back from a weekend with the family and I’m catching up on some correspondence when I came upon this in my inbox from the We Build The Wall organizers over the weekend:

This is Brian Kolfage. I want to make sure you all are aware that we moved our venue to Cobo Center.

Two reasons why. We outgrew the Warren location by a long shot. We aren’t sure how many 1000’s are showing up so we need to be prepared.

Secondly, security. We need command and control of this event and the venue Cobo Center offers this security for our guests.

With onsite secure parking, and onsite security who is trained to deal with these functions they are highly competent. Furthermore, we have 18 on duty Detroit Police Officers dedicated to working out event.

With all these steps taken we believe security of our guests and speakers to be priority and have mitigated any mishaps from protestors who will not be permitted in the venue or building.

This is going to be an awesome event for everyone and want to ensure it’s safe and secure for you and your friends.

Thank you for understanding! I hope to see you there!

Brian Kolfage

While I’m glad at the outpouring of support for this event which apparently has more Conservatives backing it, than who attended last months GOP State Convention (how sad is that), I’ve got to chime in a several items regarding this Thursday’s event.

With all due respect to Mr. Kolfage, if anyone thinks that they’ve got the agitators under control…you don’t.

Yes, you can “secure” Cobo Hall and keep them at bay.

No, you cannot keep them from harassing attendees entering or exiting Cobo, or worse yet, vandalizing property. The Cobo Parking lots CANNOT be secured. Not only is it a public parking lot, it’s just far too big to effectively patrol.

Making matters worse, my sources have tipped me off that they are already aware of the new venue and are already planning for it. Unfortunately, that’s all I have at the moment.

This IS NOT meant to warn people away.

Just the opposite. I want to see as many people as possible at Cobo this Thursday. I especially want to see them arrive and leave as safely as possible for what should be a memorable evening (in a good way).

I would just want to make a friendly warning for attendees to locate other parking options around Downtown Detroit. There are many within walking distance of Cobo, and this is one of the rare times when I’ll advocate using it, take the People Mover to get to and from Cobo.

So to wrap things up, The We Build The Wall Michigan Town Hall will NOW be held at Cobo Hall in Downtown Detroit in Hall “B” from 7:00pm to 8:30pm

And from The We Build The Wall event page:

DOORS OPEN AT 5:30PM SHARP AT COBO CENTER

NEED GOVERNMENT ID MATCHING TICKET TO GAIN ENTRANCE

To ensure the safety and security of all guests, we respectfully request that attendees refrain from bringing back packs or any other personal bags or luggage. Upon arrival you will be subject to a security check prior to entry which will include metal detecting wands and a possible pat down in the event the wand detects metal of any kind.

Again, I’m not trying to scare anyone away. Forewarned and forearmed…that sort of thing.

Because Licensed Funeral Homes in Detroit and Flint Worked out so Well?

Makes one wonder if Democrat Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith, is generating headlines like this below to distract from his own highly suspect egregious proclivities.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith says he will charge a Clinton Township man who allegedly operated a dentist office in his basement where he saw one or two patients a day, according to the Associated Press. The suspect’s identity as not been released, but he is scheduled to be formally arraigned Friday.

In a statement release Friday, Smith said police found a dentist chair, an X-ray machine, molds for teeth and other items in the suspect’s home. Smith went on to say authorities “are thankful that someone had the courage to come forward.” The man allegedly used referrals from his local church to find and treat patients.

Now, parents out there, I don’t want to hear about you getting caught tying a string around your child’s deciduous tooth that’s loose and yanking it … ’cause yannow … operating as an unlicensed health professional is 4 year felony in Michigan. You have been warned.

Thursday’s Divertere: Dr. Sebastion Gorka

Sad as it is to accept this is where we’re at today, folks. For those who have been paying attention, if your memory serves you well, you will recall the indoctrinated functioning illiterate in this video posted here are today’s 52%, which Dr. Gorka is speaking about.

That stated, this is why for at minimum the next 4 years in Michigan, we will not be moving ahead, no, we will be expending that energy on curtailing if not stoping dead in its tracks- garbage like this.

Oh, I know, losing the top three offices was completely unavoidable because of a “boat anchor” and/or The Grassroots™ had a fart stuck crossways or, something to that effect. It is how Boobus Michiganderus rolls on the Right.

So, where is the REAL “Constitutional Crisis”?

This is a buzzword that you’re going to be hearing quite a bit over the next several days.

The democrats, along with their willing accomplices in the republican party (NO, this is NOT a typo), are going to be pulling out all of the stops and throw a temper tantrum worthy of a three-year old child as they allow the crisis along our southern border to fester and grow while they try obfuscate along with deflecting attention away from and prolong the problem for as long as they can.

Turning away potential voters/cheap labor/brand spanking new entitlement recipients does not bode well during the next election cycle.

Oh, and there’s more…

{Hit that little red button below find out what that is}

You Betcha! (3)Nuh Uh.(0)

Showing your true colors.

Despite the calls for “bipartisianship”(remember when THAT was the buzzword), “tolerance”, blah-blah-blah, etc, AG Nessel officially went off the reservation yesterday and signed Michigan onto a multistate lawsuit AGAINST Pres. Trump and his actions to protect everyday Americans from the illegal aliens massing along the southern border.

This is what happens when the republican kakistocracy runs a boat anchor at the top of the ticket and p.o.’s The Grassroots when it doesn’t cut ties with a certain Supreme Court Justice. Tom Leonard would NEVER have signed off on this!

Curiously, as of this morning, she didn’t feel that it was important to share her passion to protect a major threat to Michigananians with the rest of us through official channels.

I’m running late for a run, but more to follow later…

So You Want To lower Insurance Costs?

Is Michigan's Catastrophic Claims Mandate the problem?

Start with a sense of agreement that our GOP controlled legislature has with the new leader of the smurfs.

Insurance costs too much.  And since Lansing is already aglow in the possibility of adding more taxes on top of the 40% increase in plate fees and added gas taxes, we need a break right?

Who better to underwrite such ‘breaks’ than insurance carriers, right? Government always finds ways to shunt higher costs on to taxpayers OR those in an industry that they have manipulated for so many years.  So what is the message when we see this?

After Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s State of the State address on Tuesday, state Rep. Michele Hoitenga, R-Manton, said that insurance reform will be one of the GOP’s top priorities this session. Speaker of the House Lee Chatfield, R-Levering, established a separate committee to devise a way past obstacles to bringing down rates.

In a tweet, Chatfield said citizens need a bipartisan solution.

“It’s time we cut through politics and deliver real reform to our rigged car insurance system,” Chatfield’s tweet says. “Families and seniors are paying too much, and they deserve relief. I’ve created a special committee to reform car insurance and have asked [Rep. Jason] Wentworth to chair it. Let’s get it done!”

We deserve relief.

Whew!  Glad we got that settled.  So let me make it real easy.

First start off with that part of the process that enjoys a failing google grade.  It adds $hundreds a year to each vehicle we own, and holds onto $20,000,000,000.00 of Michigan ratepayers money.  Yeah, that’s $20 Billion.

Its a tax.  Don’t forget that.

And actually.. just start and end with that and then watch for a while.

A Question To Ask

Who is really in charge here?

Can the Federal Government own land?

Apparently so, if one reads the constitution.  “The Congress shall have Power to dispose of and make all needful Rules and Regulations respecting the Territory or other Property belonging to the United States; and nothing in this Constitution shall be so construed as to prejudice any claims of the United States, or of any particular state..” Stated in Article IV reads fairly clear.

But where are the limits?  If one were to go with that part as it has been interpreted, the congress then has power to declare all land to be under it’s jurisdiction, and subject no longer to the respective states, right?  Obviously not if practice is our guide. At some point there is a limit where the states retain control over their respective borders.  A further restraint on the ability of the federal government and Congress to simply take over land.

Yes, it is ALSO in the constitution.  And YES, it has been ignored. Article 1 Section 8 clearly sets forth a manner under which the federal government may acquire and control property.

“To exercise exclusive legislation in all cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten miles square) as may, by cession of particular states, and the acceptance of Congress, become the seat of the government of the United States, and to exercise like authority over all places purchased by the consent of the legislature of the state in which the same shall be, for the erection of forts, magazines, arsenals, dockyards, and other needful buildings; ..”

Emboldened parts being relevant.
