Glenn Opponent Applauded Legislative Malfeasance

Joan Brausch applauds legislative abandonment in Wisconsin while a spokesman for occupy, THEN denies she was a spokesman.

Brausch-wowJoan Brausch should be a NASCAR driver.

The Democrat candidate for Michigan’s 98th house seat would have voters believe she wasn’t a spokesman for the ‘occupy’ movement. Apparently she has been running the left turn at high velocity for so long, that the centrifugal force has drawn all the blood from the left hemisphere of her brain.

A Facebook posting denying involvement as leadership in the occupy contradicts with video evidence.

Of course, the “American Dream” group she founded might well be true also.

Considering who ALSO organized an ‘American Dream Movement’ on or about the same time, its very possible she was a part of that.

“In 2011, Jones worked with MoveOn.org to launch the Rebuild the Dream campaign, which was intended to start a progressive American Dream movement

I suppose linking to communists while denying her local ‘occupy’ suckers sends a signal she is willing to toss aside a few nobodies to advance a hardened ‘progressive’ agenda.

Even as she is afraid to debate and suffer an inevitable crush through unassailable logic and common sense by Republican Gary Glenn.

What “its” is

Now a brief message from the Michigan Automobile Dealers Associations’ schwantz-swallower.

Didja catch that? “It doesn’t change current law at all”. And, he stared us in the eye saying that. So, why is the legislature frivolously wasting our tax dollars writing Law that does nothing? More Snyder lies. Second point, if it had such “strong legislative support. The House vote was 106 to 1, the Senate vote 38 to nothing,” then what the f**k is this veto?

I have to give Snyder credit for one thing, he’s consistent – a consistently lying a**hole. Snyder knows it, and WE ALL KNOW IT.

Thanks, Rep. McMillin, for being the lone champion of free markets.

TCAPS Adopts Compliant Weapons Policy, Allows Guns

Last night, Traverse City Area Public Schools adopted a new weapons policy and it’s good news for CPL holders. The new policy appears to respect Michigan law and your rights, by allowing those “permitted by law” to carry at TCAPS facilities and events.

Earlier this year TCAPS learned that Open Carry on school property with a CPL is legal in Michigan after someone did just that at one of their school board meetings. Since then, TCAPS has talked with local law-enforcement, reviewed state law, and determined that their weapons policy was not in compliance.

At last month’s TCAPS board meeting new policy language was submitted for review to the board, which was forwarded on to Michigan Open Carry’s leadership by MOC member Andy Marek. MOC’s legislative team looked over the new language and was very pleased to see that the school district appeared to be making a good faith effort to comply with state law. Though the language wasn’t perfect, it was good enough for the team to send TCAPS a letter of support containing a few suggested tweaks, with copious citations of course.

Today we are pleased to report that not only did TCAPS accept the new compliant language(starts on pg. 54) last night, they also adopted almost all of MOC’s suggestions.

It’s good to see another school following the law. As this trend grows, more and more of their worst fears are shown to be baseless and/or absurd. The truth is getting out there – we are not the problem.

Does this mean that the TCAPS board has suddenly turned pro-gun? Well, let’s not get carried away, it may be possible MOC’s pending lawsuit had something to do with it.

However, there are some school districts that are still holding out and continue to look for any possible way to not comply. These holdouts will have to be dealt with the hard way and we need your help. MOC is preparing to file suit against one of these holdouts and we need all of the support we can get.

Won’t you help us continue the trend by donating to Michigan Open Carry’s legal fund today?

The Cronies Have Their Fingers in the Till at Every Turn

What is it with Rick Snyder, and all these no-bid contracts that surround him? If it’s not Wisconsin’s rejected trains, then it’s his cousin’s furniture contract. Now, we have another no-bid contract driven by Snyder’s Medicaid Expansion.

But a Snyder administration official said the timing “was a coincidence” as the contract increase had been in the works for more than a month before the governor’s fundraise at the Muslim Unity Center.

See that? Yet, another Snyder related “coincidence”.

Campaign finance records show the Shaya family, which owns and operates the J & B Medical Supply, has donated more than $65,000 to Snyder’s campaign over two election cycles. On June 9, the family threw a fundraiser for Snyder that cost more than $19,000 — the most expensive shindig for the governor this election cycle — and generated nearly $74,000 in campaign cash, records show.

That doesn’t look too good, does it?

LorenBennettDonors included former state Sen. Loren Bennett, contract manager for J & B Medical. Bennett and two other company officials did not return messages Monday seeking comment.

Ho, ho, ho, look at what slithered out here. Dick Posthumus’ old toady. Yes, the same Bennett who not long ago said, “Michigan’s 11th Congressional District faces an unusual situation, as its incumbent congressman failed to get enough petition signatures to qualify for the ballot — thus denying Republicans in the district a qualified nominee”. Loren is a real piece of work, yes? Thank God, Bentivolio was sent to Washington, and not that corruptocrat

So, what’s a Nerd supposed to do when caught in another no-bid series of contracts that netted him $93,000 worth of re-election freebies? Use his playbook on deflection.

“People are trying to make something out of it,” Snyder said. “Basically, they’ve had an agreement with the state going back to before when I was governor. Healthy Michigan (Medicaid expansion) has been going so well, we needed to keep things going.”

Wait a minute, I thought Snyder said he didn’t blame others. So, the Democrats “are trying to make something out of it”? Really? Well, let’s see…
