Two Wings – Same Bird

Classic.

Let that sink in.

Booher, Brandenburg, Casperson, Caswell, Jones, Kahn, Kowall, Meekhof, Nofs, Pappageorge, Richardville, Robertson, Rocca, and “screw you” Walker

And here's Brandenburg pretending he's a conservative every time he gets in front of a microphone with Frank Beckman who also pretends he's a conservative. And Casperson who lied to me while on the 50th Anniversary Mackinac Bridge Walk telling me he'd stick to conservative principles always. At least Kowall, my miserable senator, makes no such pretenses ever.

That "Oh, Hell..." looks on Richardville's face speaks volumes.

Yet another example of "republicans" who not only think they are democrats, but act like them as well.

    Why drop any pretense?

Just fill this out and make it official.

I certainly understand WHY they did this, but it is somewhat sad they have to resort to tricks and STILL advance the other side's agenda (just more slowly)

That's just it, they didn't need to do it, to short-circuit the petition drive.

Even presuming that the petition backers got the requisite number of signatures, they still need to get voter approval.
With inflation going up, contrary to Snyder's rosy predictions, I eventually see Michigan's economy heading south.

Michigan's business community would have no problem in running a campaign not only crushing that proposal, but maintaining conservative principles in the process.

Let's face it, the Michigan Senate "leadership" blinked.

Hopefully, the house will show a little more resolve.

Although, honestly speaking, I have serious reservations on that.

Government has no right to dictate to businesses what they pay. We already know that when it increases, businesses hire less and work harder to make a profit- so less employment and higher prices.. Centralized control of anything always turns into a fiasco because it's run by people who can't even run their own lives efficiently but will try to run yours and your business.

The only thing required by the state constitution is a budget. If they have time for all this garbage, we need a part time legislature. This is pandering for votes by people with little economic understanding.

It's election year. It's time to jump on the ostensible, doing something to hhhelp the people, band wagon. Me too republicans can always be counted on to interfere in the economy when they want to be re-elected to office. Image over reality and command economy over free economy. Clowns to the left and clowns to the right.
