The Michigan congressional delegation Republicans had the right idea with regard to Roll Call 61.
Except for Michigan’s very own captain courageous, Dave Camp. Camp along with 27 other GOP congressional critters carried the water for Democrats and Barack Obama.
Maybe he was confused by the title of the bill that raised the debt ceiling? Only in government, can a bill with the title:
To designate the air route traffic control center located in Nashua, New Hampshire, as the “Patricia Clark Boston Air Route Traffic Control Center”
be used to continue out of control spending by an unaccountable administration that needs to have its criminal leadership removed, not rewarded with more resources.
Going forward in Michigan’s 4ths congressional district, there IS another choice.
Pete Konetchy is a good honest guy. He's a small business owner and knows the value of a dollar.
Not to worry, Camp will be on the Frank Beckman radio show, and probably the Norm Jones radio show, in the near future being tossed soft balls so he can explain why it is critical to Michigan citizens to help with more debt. At the same time, he'll be able to endorse Vanilla Boy Rick for reelection, and perhaps tell us about some investigation to no where he's conducting back home in D.C.
Norm is off the air.
Seems to be a major shake up in AM radio land up here. Two top air personalities given the boot.
We need to keep up the pressure. One of two things have to happen:
1) Either the country collectively says "enough is enough" and is willing to support the GOP when they have a backbone and stand-up to the Senate Dems and administration and cause a government shutdown -or-
2) We elect enough conservatives in the GOP to regain the majority - including the presidency - enough to overcome even minority obstruction - so we can start actually cutting the debt.
Otherwise, as in today, had the GOP NOT allowed the debt ceiling to go through, conservatives would be blamed as the bad guys - and unless the American people are ready to say "that's a bunch of crap", we're setting ourselves up to lose in the general this year.
If our congress critters fear that they will be considered the bad guys, then they don't believe in the truth enough to espouse it properly.
They deserve to lose at that point.
We cannot keep giving everything to this administration without conditions.
Frankly, they need to follow through with impeachments. I have a list of dozens of legitimate reasons to do so somewhere.
