The onion peels.
If it’s dysfunctional you seek, look no further than the Calley name.
John Calley, 26, of Lyons, was charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident, reckless driving and failure to report an accident – all misdemeanors.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, January 28, at a Pilot gas station on State Road at I-96 in Ionia County.
She said her daughter suffered broken ribs, collapsed lungs and abrasions. She was hospitalized for a day before being locked up on an unrelated shoplifting charge. Records show she was released from the Ionia County Jail on Wednesday.
Thorpe said her daughter, who has a minor criminal record, was an “associate” of Calley. She said her daughter called him on Jan. 28 and offered to pay him for a ride from the family’s home outside Ionia. She said she doesn’t know where they were headed.
Yep. Just a “minor criminal record“.
Shannon Emily Scully, 23, Ionia, convicted of larceny – less than $200, second or… Sentenced to 10 days in jail with 10 days credit, 12 months probation and $1,115 costs and fines.
Yep. I’m convinced. Proposal 1 is going down in Epic Proportions. 70-30? 65-35? We’ll soon know.
What we already do know is that Rick Snyder pushed this poorly contrived 10-bill abomination unto us at the cost of $10 Million to us taxpayers. Not only that, then Slick Rick went on tour with his cronies who used another $9 Million against us. Let that sink in.
Let that ^ be a lesson to every governor who dares to attempt to pull this bullshit again.
Some well informed RightMi.com readers may have thought this poke at the Lt. Gov. was just in jest – it’s not.
It is no secret that Rick Snyder’s political career is washed up in 2018. The further Snyder drifts his term limited “apolitical” Agenda to The Left, the more credence he lends to the Progressives in the Democratic Party. Face it, nobody buys Democrat-lite when the real thing is available for the price of a vote. It’s also no secret that I will not hesitate to take a poke at Rep. Barky when he deserves it for his hypocrisy.
Hide Brian Calley in Bogota, on a MEDC junket until the May 5th election fallout is over on the 36 hour news cycle.
Because… That Guy.
MI voters should reject any tax increase proposal that doesn't first eliminate film subsidies and corporate welfare. I'm voting no on May 5.

Nope. Not a crook, move along pedestrians. Thanks for volunteering us all for your cause, Lt. “conservative voice” inside the Snyder administration™. Lord knows how Brian and his family love to promote the spirit of collectivism.
Not to mention Medicaid expansion and fuel tax hikes.
OABTW, 75 days and counting, Lt. “conservative voice” inside the Snyder administration™.
Lots more to that than is being allowed to meet the public eye.
“a family and *police* matter.”
It most certainly is beginning to appear that way.
This should be interesting to follow.
Police on Wednesday and early Thursday were looking for a man pictured on a gas station surveillance camera after a 24-year-old woman was injured about 5 p.m. Wednesday. The suspect was later identified as John Calley, a 25-year-old who spoke with Ionia County sheriff’s investigators Thursday, Jan. 29.
The woman reportedly was dragged and run over by an SUV after it pulled away from a gas station on State Road at I-96. She apparently was trying to get back into the vehicle while it was pulling away.
Police believe the woman was a passenger in the SUV when it stopped at the Pilot gas station and she got out.
