They say Complete Streets is a goal?

OK, I’m first to admit that I have totally overlooked the therapeutic benefits of our fuel tax dollars going towards creating bike lanes on congested potholed roadways, and other resourse expenditures such as, Rick Snyder’s “Showcase” $1,000,000.00 per mile bicycle path.

How silly of me to discourage Progressive folks such as Rick Snyder in his pursuit of Jennifer Granholm’s utopian but costly agenda. To borrow one commenter’s expression with regard to BAMN in other topic, “suck it” John Lindenmayer.

Dan Benishek on Government Reform
The 4 R’s: Read It; Reduce It; Repeal It; Reform It
Dan thinks the three R’s are great for schools. But Congress need’s 4 R’s:
Read It. Dan actually thinks it’s crazy that this should even need to be said, but the biggest change you could make to Congress is to make them all read the bills they’re voting on. Washington’s biggest messes are coming from legislation no one has read.
Reduce It. We’re $13 trillion in the hole, and on the brink of a financial meltdown that will ruin the nation because Congress won’t stop spending. Dan will. It will be hard. It will take lots of sacrifice. But we can’t leave this debt for our kids to pay back.
Repeal It. The health care bill is a mess. It needs to be repealed, and replaced with real reforms to put patients–not bureaucrats–in charge of health care.
Reform It. Out with the career politicians. Out with the special interests. And in with the voices of taxpaying American citizens who agree that enough is enough.

Keeping ’em fat, Dumb, and Happy

Interesting Opening Day snippet about the new “Enhanced Security” clustermuck at billionaire Ilitch’s taxpayer subsidized Amphitheatrum Flavium.

SheepleOthers, such as St. Clair Shores resident Scott Mitchell, came early to beat the wait.

“If it’s for our safety, I don’t mind it,” he said.
….

“I’m OK with it,” said Bryan Collison, 27. “Pretty much anywhere you go now you have to use these.”
….

Larry Dewey, 58, wasn’t worried about longer lines, either. Dewey has been to more than 30 Opening Day games and said the change wasn’t that big of a deal.

“Safety first,” the Rochester Hills native said. “Once everyone gets used to it, it will be just like any other game.”

Now, how did Franklin know that what he warned about would be Boomer and Millennial dolts? What a visionary Ben was. If one suspected otherwise one most certainly could assert that the indoctrination is being induced from elsewhere *cough*Public Act 396 of 2012*cough*.

Nurse Ratched* Saith Your Children Belong to Us

UPDATE: as you can see, State Rep. Margaret O’Brien has pulled her nanny state propaganda video from the Michigan House GOP YouTube account.

JHFC! Is there anything these authoritarian Nanny Government types don’t want control over?

As an aside to all the 18 to 21-year-old voters out there stuck with your Zero Tolerance driver license situation – especially when they’re now regulating rope – why you haven’t voted out the mentality above is way beyond my comprehension.

Finley: Snyder deaf on Obamacare

Well, here’s a wee bit of fun with Finley.

The Obama [Snyder] administration continues to deny the risk that its [the] Affordable Care Act will wreck the economy, even as it [the governor] does everything it [he] can to keep it [Medicaid expansion] from wrecking the Democratic [Republican] Party in the fall elections.

As if one would ever read Nol[e]an to-the-Right Finkley tar his Progressive Nerd buddy. So, what does the Governerd say about all this?

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder is among several Republican governors who expanded their state’s Medicaid laws under the law.

“The whole dialogue on the Affordable Care Act is about people fighting, causing gridlock and a mess, instead of working on something important like wellness,” Snyder said, adding that he still has “a lot of issues” with the overhaul. “But it is the law, so I’m trying to work in that context.”

Jeez, it looks like Snyder just told Finley to shut the hell up. And there it is again. There is no noticeable difference between the Party’s in Michigan, other than the pathway and speed to serfdom.

As we have seen elsewhere here on RightMi, I want to make it clear that I will not be supporting this rank and file lost cause, either. Land had a chance to make a stand against the Nerd’s Obamacare entanglement, and epically failed. On top of that, I just despise a calculating, windsock of expediency, backbiter.
