Prognostications and predictions.

I’m going to keep this one a little short today.

Part of it because I’ve had a very long weekend. Part of it because I’m still going over the actual returns.

{More below}

I’ll only be going over just a few of the races at this point. Others I’ll go into after I’ve had a chance to read up more on the outcomes.

Let me start off by saying that there are some races that I’m glad at how they turned out and some that I’m obviously very disappointed at the outcome.

I was glad to see that John James beat out Sandy Pensler Tuesday Night. I felt that Pensler’s going negative as early as he had turned what should’ve been a clean & well-fought out race into something was incredibly stupid in very short order.

I’d honest expected Sen. Colbeck to do significantly better than he did last night.

After talking to some friends whom I thought I swung over, I kept hearing a disparaging commonality regarding their vote: Pres. Trump’s endorsement . I found this odd how it swayed their vote this late in the process (despite having misspelled his name in the same and later getting blown off in Washington earlier this year from someone who couldn’t bother to stick around for a few minutes).

The final numbers are still a little fuzzy due to “software glitches” of the voting totals in Wayne County.

Go figure.

But based on what numbers that are available, specifically the numbers of how Team “d” did, I’m not very optimistic on one Bill Schuette’s chances in the General.

Watching coverage from the other side, I heard a common theme from their side as well: pragmatism.

Oh sure, they love the Santa Claus platform being peddled around by El-Sayed and Thanedar. Who doesn’t like “free stuff” when government stiffs somebody else with the bill.

But in the end, Team “d” wanting “free stuff” wasn‘t enough to get their vote. They were more focused on making certain that their upset in 2016 didn’t happen again., which gave us Gretchen Whitmer’s win.

I see that as a major problem.

Team “d” will say what they want and do what they want so long as they can win in the end.

Conservatives (and those who mostly follow the Conservative Philosophy), not so much.

I don’t see a lot of Calley, Hines or even Colbeck supporters very enthusiastically supporting Schuette.

I do see a lot of El-Sayed & Thanedar supporters throw their “convictions” out the window and voting for Whitmer.

When, not if, that happens, it shouldn’t be necessary to tell Team “r” to put their affairs in order before January 2019.

Good luck eliminating the income tax (to say nothing about reducing it). Expanding state entitlements cost money, you know.

Speaking of state entitlements, good luck eliminating Snydercaid. This is something that she is touting in her campaign. As a matter of fact, don’t be very surprised when she expands it (and removes the poison pill contained within it).

Good luck addressing 2A.

And good luck reducing the size and scope of state government.

Not going to happen.

That woman soon to occupy the office in the Romney Building simply won’t allow it.

Maybe even for the next eight years.

Take this for what you will.

Speaking to voters on behalf of Colbeck, I ran into many who said their vote for Schuette was a 'not-Calley' vote. Some very close folks couldn't be swayed, though they greatly preferred Colbeck.

I believe this effect to be significant. Trumps people saw Schuette as the guy who would win, and endorsed accordingly.

Geez, KG, would hate like hell to get caught up in a bar fight with you at my side. With your defeatist attitude, our asses would be kicked before the first punch was ever thrown.

Ps. manjaw Whitmer isn’t gonna win- the Grrlpower™️ horse shit was exhausted on Crooked Hillary.

So, you trust that Schuette will be any different from Snyder?

That he is more principled than Colbeck?!?

He's a professional politician who hasn't held a real job in what? 30 years?

Whom do you think Schuette will watch out for first?

      The Grassroots?

Unless you see something along the lines of a Schuette/Colbeck ticket, tell me where he'll pick up enough voters (or loyal grassroots support go help at the pols)?

Hello?!?! Your ‘principled’ fraud Cuckbeck, received only 2% more votes than a totally unknown.

This does not smack you up the side the head to reality?

Oh, I suppose the obstinate douche-canoe crowd will stay at home sulking around with their heads up their ass.

Me on the other hand, will gladly vote for Schuette, again!

Why would I not go out and hand out lit/laws signs/poll work for John James?

It's Schuette that I find about as trustworthy as a used car salesman in Detroit.

There are some races where votes do matter on the outcome (something I'm waiting for more info on before posting)

I supported Colbeck, and disagree about the 'fraud' part. People do make mistakes, but looking at the body of work, he was reliably conservative. PERIOD.

But Bill Schuette is the nominee, and now its time to make sure that the perception of an energized democrat party is not converted into reality. Whitmer is Granholm v2.0 ready to 'blow us away.'

                Nuff said

Yes, people do make mistakes, and Cuckbeck has a boatload of those on record as documented votes, hence, he's a fraud.

And the nominee isn't? Seriously, its not necessary to always be offensive. The race is over and its time to go forward instead of driving home the point that you like the word "cuck"

Nominee Bill Schuette has got a lot of work to do mending fences.

Nothing that I've seen so far this week indicates that he is even remotely interested in doing so.

When your opponents have the integrity to be magnanimous the day after the election and you essentially tell them to F.O., highlighting the socialist nature of your opponent is the very least of your problems.

I understand what happened. Same crap that happens at convention when someone wants to make even the slightest change in the program. I almost missed an opportunity to nominate a Supreme court candidate because the 'production team' are anal as shit.

WTF does this have to do with James? More importantly, Why TF do you always appear as having a fart stuck crossways? And, WTF does James have to do with the topic of future governor, Schuette?
