We’re almost completely unpacked. As you can tell, the new RightMi.com has more features and user options than the old format.
Here are some updates.
Commenting
To start with, commenting can be done in several ways; none of which requires logging in if you don’t want to. Commenters can share with Google plus, Facebook, OR the WordPress way by simply filling in email and doing a math question. (The questions are easy enough that even liberals can do them) Only the WordPress way will show up on the borders, but Facebook and Google Plus comments will appear on the commenter’s respective pages, and will be available on the story for those who select that section.
To select the G+ or FB comment fields, simply click on the associated icon. Google Plus sometimes loads slowly, and I have found it helps to click the , then back to the .
Writing
Authoring on RightMi.com is a privilege. While pointed discussions and even some crude language may be allowed, this isn’t KOS or Michlib. To the extent possible, respect for commenters, authors, and editors contributions is paramount. We recognize that sometimes pure stupidity MUST be answered, but if a conversation gets out of hand, intervention is likely.
Registered users (authors) have a built in communication system here. If necessary, comparing notes, private bitch fests, and pewling can certainly happen behind the scenes. As we have never had this capability before, I am not sure what the overall ramifications of this are, but it WILL help us be better messengers of conservatism through collaboration.
Registration
Registration is open to anyone willing to write or contribute Michigan based political news and commentary. With registration comes access to tools, images, documents etc. Initial registration will close in one week or sooner, after which we can add you manually.
Newsletters and Sharing
Currently there are over 1000 members on the mailing list, and we expect to deliver selected snips from articles to keep the site dynamic and active. If you want to be added to the newsletter, let us know with the news tip tab.
The old site
Well, the old site has a TON (over 3GB) of history. If you know how to use archive.org, you can find just about anything that was ever posted on it there. Otherwise, we will have the entire archive available from here in full blown HTML color soon enough.

Good looking site. Just keep writing the way you have been.
Thanks Bruce! Coming from you that means a lot.
Site is looking good! And, BTW, the new WordPress site is way easier to use than the old RightMichigan site.
Yeah.. Scoop had its advantages but everything actually works in WordPress. More options for useability as well.
