A great deal of support on the floor of the GOP convention in Novi Michigan for challenger Nakagiri
“I appreciate your enthusiasm” Says Candace Miller as the 300 Nakagiri volunteers do the sign walk.
There were so many, that the next nomination was delayed a moment. (yeah THAT’s the ticket) Truthfully, the video camera work was a little sloppy because I was looking around trying to gauge how many Snyder/Calley supporters were sporting new trouser cookies. As we have known for a week however, signs unfortunately don’t equal votes.
It was just plain fun as a people watcher however. As a takeaway, we don’t have to think there are no folks actively seeking to better the party. We are NOT alone, nor are we done yet.
Please enjoy the video.
Candace Miller......UGH!
She always reminds me of the school cafeteria worker that told me I couldn't have what I wanted, and that I was gonna have the 2 yr old slab of deep fried fish flesh because it was good for me.
If they ever do the stage version of Shrek, I nominate her for the leading role of Shrek's wife.
So the video is bad because you thought we were intimidated by you?
Uh huh.
If you thought that delegates carrying signs around the convention floor was a sign of "intimidation", then you're a lot more gone than even I figured.
It was Gillman that thought he'd see soiled pants as a result of a crowd of sign-holders.
Fair indicator of his political capabilities
We're either:
a.) Not watching the same video.
or,
b.) getting something out of that video that totally didn't happen in Novi.
Myself, I'm leaning towards "B".
The vote went as it did. The river flow of people through the doors in support of Nakagiri was impressive enough to suck the air out of the room with regard to the Calley team. Political capability has nothing to do with offering an opinion of what the initial response was. There was concern and you know it.
If you believe that there was still concern by Friday morning you're deluded.
If there was ever concern all cause for it was eliminated a week prior.
Greg, that the party brass bluebloods were absolutely comfortable with the results of the several county conventions isn't really a surprise to anyone who was paying attention. (And yes, by now we've also figured out that the Nerd Prince's "concession" in the 11th District was equal parts "throw 'em a bone" and "credit where it's due" -- or were we not supposed to notice that the old guard had rigged every county convention worth discussing, except in the 11th and 12th Districts?)
The point, if you'd pull your cranium out of your rectum long enough to catch a breath, is that the "powers that be" in the Michigan Banana Republican Party might just have been sent a message from the convention floor a couple of Saturdays back. The point of the message is that the grassroots base that the party brass and old guard bluebloods spent the previous 48 weeks effectively sidelining (at a considerable cost in donor resources) is beyond tired of it, and there will be consequences going forward. Precisely how those consequences will manifest is an open question, but that they will manifest is not.
Mr. Heine, if that is the real Greg, and not just another Barb Byrum useful idiot, then it isn't a cranium in Greg's rectum.
Slurs from cowards.
Unsurprising.
Why does this bother you coming from "Malcontents and Magpies?"
Several times you have attempted to belittle the voices here, arousing our suspicions that you are indeed worried that what we say is valid. You should be.
If you are in fact the backside bandit in person (as CS questions) who is responsible for quite a number of MIGOP steps away from the platform, (and quite frankly, decency) then much of what might happen in November can be laid at your feet.
Embrace it.

So, are you suggesting that you go both ways now?
For clarification, that is in regard to what was quoted about anonymity in the Free Press article, cupcake.
So, money bought off the Party apparatchik, your point?
Something occurs to me, regarding the 300 or so Nakagiri demonstrators who were in no hurry to disperse. The party brass has no room to complain, given that Snyder was conducting a photo-op right there at the stage . . . during the nominating and support speeches for Wes. I'm pretty sure that the impromptu show of force falls into the category of "turnabout is fair play."
Not sayin' . . . just sayin'.
Great creative editing skills. Kill the video while Amash is being introduced, then show nothing of the crowd ROAR for Calley.
You missed the point of the video. It wasn't about Calley.
But tell you what, YOU post a video of Amash's "roar" for Calley. And maybe even showing the 20 sign holders who weren't rushed away before they could make the stage. (They don't have to be)
I have no problem showing THAT.
