It Takes A Village

To Kill A Baby

We’ve all heard that term before.

It is the presumption that the collective state is better suited to raise your family than .. you, or your family.  It is also the tile of the book written by the Democrat failure who couldn’t even win the blue state of Michigan. As well, it is the only way that loving parents can lose their parental rights when it really matters.

The saga of this baby boy and his suffering parents, Chris Gard and Connie Yates, illuminates our own future — that is, America’s oft-demanded, much-feared, repeatedly prophesied move to single-payer medicine. Charlie’s vexing fame as a “prisoner of the National Health Service” serves as a warning about the ugly side of any government assuming the role of Doctor: it necessarily plays Judge and Executioner, too.

This is what [so-called] progressives want here.

And let it soak in.

If I wasn't so familiar with what passes for news reporting nowadays, I'd be utterly shocked at the number of people I've encountered at work who haven't heard anything relating to the Baby Charlie case.

When the state deems that it's in your best interest to die ( IPAB's, anyone?), that should be argument number #1 for repealing Obamacare right there.

Obviously the republican party is using the Obamacare repeal solely as a fundraising tactic, so they don't give a flying you-know-what about addressing this ethical time-bomb.

But I can tell you that when I mention the fact that your "free healthcare" (well "free" plastic card embossed with your name) gets cut off when your care costs too much, after first going apoplectic at the mere mention of this troubling seldom mentioned Obamacare detail, even the most rabid Obamacare boosters eventually took notice.

So what does that tell you?

Arguing lengthy, long-winded debates with total, demeaned, gotdamn dimwits is not a good look anymore.

      Up your game, KG.

I aver this exact same situation is occurring here already, mostly with senior citizens. Forced to go on Medicare A, saying Part B is voluntary--with a deductible which goes up every year, and Part D also with a deductible going up every year. You have to shop around hoping to find some sort of advantage plan that covers the deductibles for B & D--good luck with that one because you might find a reasonable D plan that covers your scripts you're on come 12/7 (end of the enrollment period) which could very well change come January 1, the next year--or the Part D will send you a letter sometime in February the next year saying the script you've been on for seven years will no longer be covered--hoping you'll switch to a drug with lots of dangerous side affects. This has happened already to two of my buddies.

Any senior citizen (or critically ill patient) going into the hospital will immediately be met with a social worker who, unknowingly, you gave permission to review your entire medical history. This visit is to chart out your end-of-life plan. Keep in mind they have your entire financial record too. These are also necessary visit to dump you into a nursing home under the guise of "physical therapy" required by the Social Security Act. Thereafter will be an order from the local community health board granting this permission (required of anyone on social security) whose decision was made from a 60 page report from about seven "professionals" who cursory reviewed your health history and conduct a 10 minute conversation with you (and I've never read an accurate one of these reports) to slam-dunk you into a nursing home. If you refuse the nursing home, they get Adult Protective Services and the courts involved. Any of this sound familiar here. Just as Baby Gard--the state takes over and decides your fate. It was wrong with Baby Gard and its wrong for you. Protect yourself by signing forms "under Duress" before affixing your signature ON TOP of these words. I always cross off anything that I find offensive and initial it--like anyone having access to the records without my permission (as well as, the secret AIDS tests) These words literally mean the social workers, et al above.
