I wasn’t aware that there was a court imposed exemption to a Constitutional Right?

On the plus side, I've just found a sizable down payment for that Michigan Income Tax cut.

Can anyone find an exemption for “sensitive places” in either the Michigan or US Constitutions?

I cannot.

And just who makes the asinine argument for “sensitive places”?

{Click below to find out.}

Apparently Justices Cavanagh and Servitto were able to pull off some fantastic legal gymnastics to essentially legislate from the bench and uphold the ban of firearms at U of M. You can read (decipher?) their opinion right here.

Look, if the hoplophobes running U of M want to play games pertaining to what our Constitutional Right very clearly says, two can just as easily play that game.

We already have a series of bills heading through the Michigan Legislature addressing one ridiculous hoop we need to jump through to exercise a clearly enumerated right. And if anyone is familiar with the history on HOW that particular law came into being, it’s a wonder the the democrats aren’t jumping on this issues in droves (Here’s a hint: it doesn’t mesh very well with their mantra of victimization being a good thing).

But getting back on target here (no pun intended), according to Article 8, Section 4 of the Michigan Constitution, we’re forced to hand over money on a yearly basis to several University of Michigan locations. From the latest numbers I was able to pull from the good people over at The Mackinac Center, that number is just over $300M.

However, the Michigan Constitution DOES NOT say how much U of M should receive from Lansing every year.

Lansing can very easily take care of this issue, since next years budget isn’t finalized yet; change that line item to $1.

Lansing has a constitutionally valid budget and we send a clear and unequivocal message to the hoplophobes running U of M; decisions have consequences and stupidity should be painful.

So what’ll it be?

If you don’t already know how to do so yet, you can easily contact your elected officials here and here.

While I cannot find a "sensitive Place" but during the Granada conflict (most fun war ever fought--communications were by payphone to DC and lots of other silliness)) there was only one casualty by a guy who placed his weapon near a sensitive place--gun went off and he bled to death while being transported to the hospital. This guy found a sensitive place--just thought you should know for future reference.

Of course, the issue of field preemption was bastardized five ways to friday.

Fools - field preemption has nothing to do with the entities enumerated under 123.1102

The two judges who made this ruling are democrats. There is a good chance that it gets overturned by the Supreme Court.

We're hoping this case, as well as MOC's and MGO's cases do as well.

Basically these assholes in the CoA basically disregarded precedent set in MOC v. CADL and Llewellyn

There is something even more serious here--while at U of M a couple of months ago, there were very few "native" students. U of M is no longer a Michigan jewel--but rather a tax supported UN global unit. I felt very unsafe while on campus and it's outskirts. I come to believe that a town filled with unnecessary (and unsafe) turnabouts, is a town designed under UN specs. I went to a funeral about six months ago, of a close friend, a rocket scientist, who warned of the U of M Engineering department's take-over by Chinese nationals--that we were literally educating (and arming) them which, he predicted, would be used against us. During this visit, I was alone and stayed at a hotel filled with engineering doctoral candidates from Turkey and other places. I was the only American in the place from what I could ascertain and even the hotel was owned by a foreign corporation. What I learned from these trips is do not go un-escorted nor unarmed to U of M. Your constitutional rights, especially gun rights cannot be regulated by bureaucrats on property that YOU own. Funding of this UN global unit needs to stop.
