Traverse City March 4 Trump

Maybe not a 'march,' but a rally on a beautiful day!

About 150 turned out for the Traverse City Trump rally today.

At the time we had decided to hold it, the weather forecast looked bleak.  Instead of the predicted rainy day, it was sunny and in the upper 20s to low 30s by the time we started the noon event. We were blessed with as perfect weather as we could ask for in early March.

Opening with a prayer and song, attendees were rallied to support the president and mix it up with others who share their values.  The coffee and donuts provided by Daylight Donuts took care of the chill and munchie aspect.

One thing missing from our rally which we had actually expected was the lefty protests.  Apparently they decided to hold their event and not try to interfere with ours as we had heard in the grape vine.  Their event turned up 20 folks or so according to latecomers who passed them on the way in.

Local news station 7 & 4 streamed the first fifteen minutes of the event, and then went to spend five minutes at the ‘we hate life’ rally mentioned above.

Pictures below the fold.

Did I say I had fun? Circulated petitions asking President Trump declare the Muslim Brotherhood and C.A.I.R. Homeland Security Threats and only two folks didn't sign. These are NOT religious organizations and I asked them to become informed. I tried to explain that the former president flooded "our" government with Muslim Brotherhood characters in prime positions. Did I say I had fun? I was proud that there were so many families present. Someone was carrying a sign reading "Blue Lives Matter" I said that's racist. We both giggled. The best sign there was a T-shirt worn by a kid depicting Trump playing with Legos building a wall, with the statement "It's gonna be Yuge". It was really great to see how folks updated their yard signs--very creative and suggested that we have a best sign contest at the next one. Did I say I had fun? We had a sing-a-long--you know the National Anthem, etc. Jason and Jack O'Malley did a really good job--and then had the audacity to ask if we want to do this again. Hell yes! Weekly if necessary--I can't speak for others, but walked away invigorated and pumped up. Did I say I had fun? I heard the Lansing Rally had some problems--tsk, tsk.

I would like to share my thanks with Matt, Jason and Jack for holding this rally. We dodged a bullet last November. Since we have been given a chance to return our country to order, we must strive for more conservative visibility. The challenge is communication. Many more conservative voters would of partaken in the rally had they known about it. The Record Eagle will not print a press release of a conservative rally. "We can't possibly be placing notices for all the protests going on." -Editor N. Payne on February 9th 2017. (Defund Planned Parenthood protest)

Not unexpected. After all, it's the Record Eagle.

I'm not criticizing the efforts put forward for Saturday's rally. I'm venting my concern for future turn outs.

    A dream....

Imagine a conservative print circular, monthly, being available in shopping stores and eateries around Northern Michigan. This would take much effort and combined resources, however our future is at stake.
A Free Press, the handful of counter protesters exclaimed on the day of the rally. It's about time we give them one.

Even the Left knows how miserable a community newspaper the Record-Eagle is. They knew that to maximize their chances of getting ANY coverage of a local event they had to hold it on the doorstep of the local fishwrap, and chant "free press" three times!

      LOL

Awesome to see you there Phil!

        Jason.
When I couldn't imagine anything worse than the Record Eagle, along comes Michael Moore.
The blood parasite found in turtles, commonly known as Obama, as waddled into Traverse City infesting as many as he can. A beautiful documentary about the Flint native turned Marxist sociopath and wannabe Hollywood elitist should be made and played at the State Theatre. Red Star Theatre that is. Maybe Dinesh D'Souza is looking for material?

We had a similar gathering here in Lake Orion. Apparently, the Democrats/media are keeping the Trump supporters unified and active.
