I thought that this was a joke until I read the link.
I chaperoned a school field trip out to The Rouge just last week, and I can tell you first-hand what an incredibly terrible idea this is.
The kids were behaved (obviously), but most of them were more preoccupied with the trip going out and coming back than they were with what was inside. Having their noses buried in a tablet or cell phone would've taken away that opportunity at curiosity.
And remind me again, exactly what are the federal government's duties when it comes to education?
