All of our informational videos made on Michigan's proposal 2 in one place.
All five of the videos created to let folks know what a disaster proposal 2 would be for Michigan. The latest video is first. The remainder below.
The bottom line is that proposal 2 is merely a change to a different form of gerrymandering. One that does its best to exclude one side, and make the process irreversible by eliminating answerability to the voters.
If you value accountability in Michigan politics, you MUST make sure all of your friends and family members understand what is at stake.

That's strange! I read the proposal and I told my S/O this thing has more loopholes so big you can drive a Mack truck through it! Nine days to see what has to be done - with the do what it takes crowd - and two full days to open absentee ballots and see what's going on there? Reminds me of a union contract vote where ballots cast in the morning were isolated for two hours before evening voting is cast. But the worst thing in the world is not remembering what happened to Al Gore in 2000. Before the dreaded recount could commence, The Supreme Court awarded the presidency to Bush. A later recount revealed that Gore did in fact win Florida. So with that, what's the deal of only having election officials conduct post election audits? Which election officials are those? And requiring canvass boards to certify election results based on the "official" records of votes cast? If that was the case, Al Gore would have been president. Al was a good sport, though. It's bad enough coming to terms with the fact so many election results going forward are going to end up in the courts. Because a lot of people just plain don't want elections these days. But I digress. Proposal 2 is bad. Real bad.
Gore never lead in any vote or any recount in Florida. You are just flat out wrong.
Where can I find an actual copy of the amendment and not just the summery?
Just for clarification...Proposal 2 of 2018 dealt with the 'independent" redistricting commission.
This initiative was backed by democrats pretending to be "independents" in order to use their own version of gerrymandering in order to remedy gerrymandering, thereby solving their perception of gerrymandering.
A copy of THAT petition can be found here.
Proposal 2 of 2022 deals with gutting Michigan Voter ID laws, making elections easier to steal by loosening standards and officially sanctioning Zuckerbucks to affect the outcome of elections.
