It appears that the lead Inkster officer involved was one William Melendez, who was known as 'Robocop' when he was on the Detroit Police force. His indictment in 2003 for stealing guns, money and drugs from suspects, planting weapons and breaking into homes without search warrants spawned the DoJ/Detroit consent degree which was just ended. Some background from the LA Times here:

Yep. Wayne County is an impressive rabbit hole. Just throw in some ongoing (see here) former Wayne County prosecutor shenanigans with his top henchmen (Kevin Simowski) now pulling in 6-figure paychecks over at the Land Bank, and: http://www.mapinc.org/drugnews/v03/n1292/a08.html
So, there is now Inkster Police Chief Vicki Yost, who is the former partner to, Eugene Brown: http://archives.theglobalreport.org/issues/239/index.html#2
Then, there was this from Detoilet Chief Craig:
Deputy Chief Vicki Yost, is an 18 year veteran assigned to the Patrol Operations Bureau. DC Yost earned a Masters Degree from Eastern Michigan University. Prior to her appointment Deputy Chief Yost was the Commanding Officer of the Southwestern District and the 8th Precinct.
Nope. Just cannot imagine why Mr. Dent got his ass beat for something as inane as rolling a stop sign by public sector union thugs *with badges*. I'm sure with them investigating themselves that justice will be served. Just ask Glenn Ford.
OABTW, didn't Duggan just carpetbag his way into Detoilet, from Livonia, too?
Go figure.
