Time To Light It Up Again

She is a tyrant.  Don’t forget this

Whitmer’s recent enactment of gun control measures are a step in the wrong direction. The legislation introduces universal background checks for all firearm purchases and mandates ‘safe storage requirements.’

While proponents argue these laws aim to enhance public safety, it’s far past time to examine their potential impact on law-abiding citizens. (The rest of us not currently holding the top three executive positions in MI State govt.) The universal background checks extend to private sales, raising concerns about the implications for responsible gun owners. Additionally, the safe storage mandates may impose challenges for individuals seeking immediate access to firearms for self-defense.

The establishment of the Michigan Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, by Executive Order 2024-4, seeks to address the root causes of gun violence, but in fact is the donkey’s nose under the tent once again.

Yeah..  Running late on this (June 2024 .. Yeesh) .. Been busy.

Just consider the specific persons allowed to serve on such an ‘important’ advisory board:

  • People who already serve at the leisure of the governor
  • People who have any type of agenda as it relates to firearms possessions, and .. will be appointed by the governor.

And to top it off, these people report to the Department of Health and Human Services director and the governor directly. They are to discover ways to restrict gun ownership (my words) Oh And..just remember what she used in 2020 to put half of Michigan small business under water.

Any budgets allowed to this governor MUST include the demand to remove this anti 2nd Amendment monstrosity from the books.

The power of the purse will still be dependent on our legislative branch yes?

A lot of us have been busy in '24.

And while things are looking promising with President Trump preparing to do some industrial strength housecleaning next year, I'm VERY skeptical of the goings on in the Michigan House.

Time to take out the real garbage!

Sure, Team-d's 'trifecta" will come to a screeching halt in '25, so they only have 5 (or 9, take you pick) days to jam through their Christmas Wish list. But, what can we expect to see when one of the Chambers is no longer under the control of "conservatives"?

We've already seen what happened during the 102nd Legislature when the RINO's thought that we were not paying attention (Hint: SOMEONE always is.).

Oh God, I hope that no Real Republicans see this!

How soon have we forgotten that Rep. Kuhn of Troy and Rep. Steele from Lake Orion were Johnny-on-the-Spot when it came to supporting the infanticide bill SB-2 last year? Or also last year when Reps. Gina Johnsen, Sarah Lighter, Mike Mueller, Bill Schuette and Mark Tisdel aligned themselves with the democrats and voted for Gretchen Whitmer's pork-laden special interest budget?

    Want me to continue?

I’ve already lost track of the number of conversations that I’ve had with state representatives when they were bellyaching about the AG Nessel’s decision to raise the Michigan Income Tax.

Not ONE of them knew that the only reason why that provision was even included there in the first place, was because of the fact that ”republicans” PUT IT THERE when they raised the gas tax after Proposal 1 got nuked at the ballot. Or, that they had the chance to keep perpetual decrease…until that lying turncoat Mike Bishop made a deal with then-Gov. Granholm to keep it in order to pass the state budget that year. Or, that the whole asinine idea that Lansing had ANY claim to what I earned was because of ”republicans” like Bill Milliken.

I’m going to keep this short.

If we want to see a return to sanity here in Michigan, these politicians need to be put on notice. We have already endured too much lost time and potential here in Michigan.

I’m had enough of the TV and news interviews utilizing of all the tired, focus-group tested responses of “reaching across the aisle” next year.

You are supposed to be representing the “Conservative Philosophy”.

    Act on it!

And yes, this does include the potential of a “government shutdown”.
