How timely.
Folks, there you have the influence being bought. What should’ve been blatantly obvious for some, others have been stating it has been right there under your noses all along… amnesty and gun control.
F**k Snyder.

How do jokers like this move their east coast leftist ideology into flyover country?
The far left Michael Bloomberg has not only endorsed, but now promises to spend $2.3 Million to help elect fellow lefty Rick Snyder.
One might ask why he wouldn’t simply endorse Mark Schauer? One might miss the point on his pick of Gary Peters, but not selecting the Democrat nominee for Michigan governor. One might also not realize, that to properly destroy conservatives, a well funded progressive ought to destroy from within their institutions.
Hence the Snyder assistance. From The Detroit News:
“Bloomberg’s Independence USA political action committee this week launched a $2.3 million TV ad buy on behalf of Snyder, said Stu Loeser, a spokesman for Bloomberg — a Democrat turned Republican turned independent.”
What does it take to register as a write-in again?
I guess this is the kind of propaganda one tries to legislate if they can’t make a buck showing a two-headed cow at a circus.
“Whereas, Every person needs and deserves to feel a sense of belonging [snip]”
But of course they do, Rep. Switalski…
Finley’s brand of centrist Hopium is wearing off as it appears that pragmatism now sucks.
Snyder’s response is a somnambulist commercial in which he comes across as dull as a valiumed-up dental patient with a message eerily reminiscent of Granholm’s infamous “in five years, you’ll be blown away” pledge.
Michigan hardly ever unseats an incumbent governor, particularly when the economy is on the upswing. If there were a 2010-style Republican wave cresting, Snyder would be up 10 points in this race.
Except now Snyder has his apolitical record of screwing over everyone to accomplish his amoral big government agenda, which ain’t a helluva lot different from the DNC/MDP apparatchik.
Tough lessons for those who followed a corporate snake who built the bulk of his personal wealth by means of taxpayer subsidy at the MEDC, however, if one plays in the middle of the road, sooner or later they’re gonna get crushed. Nobody likes those that pretend they’re everything while standing for nothing.
I’m staying my course with a vote for Ruth Johnson. To hell with the rest of ’em.
Peyronie’s Baird had a great fall
Since Baird’s tax issue came to light, he has worked to clear up residency issues. He still claims a tax exemption on his home in suburban Chicago, where he spends his weekends with wife and family, Snyder’s office has said.
Baird’s Illinois driver’s license expired Aug. 24, according to the Illinois Secretary of State’s office, but he continues to drive a Mercedes SUV with Illinois plates.
As of Monday, Baird remained on the voter rolls in Illinois, said Courtney Greve, spokeswoman for the Cook County Clerk’s Office.
Records show Baird last voted by mail in the November 2012 elections, Greve said.
Snyder, who is in a tough re-election battle against Democrat Mark Schauer, has expressed support for Baird and acknowledged he “made a couple of errors.”
All the Nerdking’s horses and all the Nerdking’s men
Couldn’t put Peyronie’s Baird together again.
When Republicans raised the State Income Tax.

“We could have balanced the budget without taxing pensions,” [John] Nixon said.
Yes, raised the State Income Tax on E-V-E-R-Y-B-O-D-Y.
Special thanks goes to Dick and Betsy’s cupcake for once again illustrating the Recucklican treachery within the MI-GOP.
That’s right, folks! “It really was a clerical error and a computer error” because as we property owners know that all assessor offices could really give a rat’s ass about collecting taxes, right?
…and, the Snyder Swamp continues to grow.
New Minimum Wage for Michigan Employees Kicks in .. and
Beginning September 1, 2014, Michigan employers will face an increase in the minimum wage rate from $7.40 to $8.15. The first rate increase since Granholm jacked employers in 2008, this new change to state law marks the beginning of a gradual 25 percent increase of the minimum wage resulting in $9.25 per hour by 2018. The State of Michigan makes new online resources available at www.Michigan.gov/miosha to help workers and employers face the facts as the new rate takes effect.
On May 27, 2014 the ‘Workforce Opportunity Wage Act,’ Public Act 138 of 2014 (Act 138), took immediate effect replacing the Michigan Minimum Wage and Overtime Act (Act 154). Act 138 is enforced by the Wage and Hour Program within the Technical Services Division of the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA). And we know No-One enforces like MIOSHA.
Act 138 applies to employers in Michigan that have two or more employees age 16 and older. A copy of Act 138, along with guidelines and the required poster may be downloaded from the Wage and Hour Program website.
