CS, the entire point of my post was to remind people that some 3,000 people were brutally murdered by islamic terrorists in cold blood 21 years ago yesterday.
The number of conversations that I overheard yesterday when I was out with friends when, to their credit, the news actually acknowledged this date for a change, was deeply troubling. Sadly, "Oh, that was today," was said more times that I could count.
Those 3,000 deaths should never be forgotten.
That been said, we both are very well aware that the federal government didn't allow that tragedy to go to waste when they rammed through the Patriot Act, and all of the ancillary baggage that went along with it.
If you want to write a post on the antics of the Cheney's, Chertoff's, etc., you know what to do.
