SATURDAY: Dexter Woman to Confront Congressman Gary Peters for Attempting to Silence Her ObamaCare Story
Apparently Gary Peters wasn’t happy about AFP criticisms over his support and vote for the health care catastrophe known as Obamacare.
An ad that Americans For Prosperity has been running with a story of a woman severely affected by the law, was challenged in court. AFP and the woman in the video are apparently going to the source of the lawsuit.
Americans for Prosperity-Michigan Activists to Join Julie Boonstra for News Conference Outside Rep. Gary Peters’ Home in Bloomfield Hills
LANSING, Mich.—Julie Boonstra, the Michigan mother and leukemia survivor featured in a new Americans for Prosperity Gary Peters issue ad, will seek to confront Congressman Peters at his residence in Bloomfield Hills today. Representative Peters has taken legal steps to silence Boonstra’s story and force television stations to pull the issue ad in which she is featured, off the airwaves. With some of Americans for Prosperity-Michigan’s most dedicated activists supporting her, Boonstra will stop by Gary Peters’ residence in Bloomfield Hills today in an effort to confront him directly about his attempts to intimidate and silence her. The media is invited to attend.
It will be interesting if he so much as goes out to get his mail.
Not a fan of bothering people at home, even jagoffs like Peters. That's creepy.
Normally, I'd agree with you.
But after reading the letter at the link, you might change your mind about the use of that tactic.
The democrats reading the tea leaves on this issue in hopes of giving them insight into the results of the general are coming to the realization that Obamacare is becoming the train wreck that Sen. Max Baccus-d himself warned people about.
Naturally, the spin machine has been jammed into overdrive to negate this whenever possible.
That been said, having to go through Chemo is bad enough.
Having to deal with Peters siccing his legal team that didn't even do its own homework thoroughly is even worse.
Citing The Washington Post, one of the arguments they make;
"Additionally, under the Affordable Care Act, health insurance plans have an out-of-pocket maximum, capping the total amount that an individual would ever have to pay for medical expenses for a year."
If they had bothered to go to the actual source, in this case the US Department of Labor, they would've learned that section of Obamacare was delayed for 2014 (see Q2).

Wow, a section of Obamacare being delayed. What are the odds?
One final thing: Does anyone know how things went yesterday?
As of this am, The Detroit Free Press hasn't covered this story (no surprise there).
But neither has The Detroit News, which should raise some eyebrows right there.

Hello folks, We will also have an update story, tomorrow morn, at Watchdog Wire from a writer who was with Ms. Boonstra on Sat. Izzy
PS Enjoyed the 'Extremism' essay, J.
Looking forward to the update! And thank you!
Meh. One would've been led to believe the last folks these government parasites would want to piss off is the potentially marked for dying. I reckon they now count on the fagging of America to cover their ass. From what I see, it is working for them.
AFP has this out now
