Two if by Rob ‘Ghey *marriage*’ Portman, and Terri ‘Elliot-Larsen expansion’ Hibma, are flitting about Detroit, tomorrow.
Sen. Rob Portman, who is vice chairman of the party’s U.S. campaign arm, says the Michigan Senate seat is still “winnable” — despite polls showing Democrat Rep. Gary Peters leading.
The Ohio Republican will be in the Detroit area on Friday for a campaign event with former Michigan Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land, who is trailing Peters, D-Bloomfield Township.
Keep those pandering, pragmatic chins up, Team Pale Pastel.

So as to draw attention to something that TLL and Co. are really hoping that we don't notice, according to The Rothenberg Political Report, Michigan's Class 2 U. S. Senate Seat is holding at "lean democrat," and has been for awhile. Also, according to the RealClearPolitics tracking average, while the race is currently listed as a "toss up," Peters has been out in front of Land since April 29th -- one week after the filing deadline.
Because the Michigan Republican Party apparently cannot pass up the chance to run a Ford-mold moderate when an actual conservative is needed.
