Multiple media outlets in Detroit are reporting that the Detroit Institute of Arts will renege on their pledge made after the passage of their Regional Art Tax (aka “Art Institute Authority”) in 2012 and seek a renewal on the March 2020 ballot, two years ahead of its statutory end.
Yeah, I cannot wait to see how they’ll justify spending even more money on “art”?
I’m currently running on very little sleep, but more details to follow…
You Betcha! (4)Nuh Uh.(0)
It should come as no surprise.
In the North, we saw people voluntarily assess themselves for the craziest millages and government growth plans, and only a few with organized opposition failed. I suspect this is the result of a booming and successful (TRUMP) economy. People feel like they have been blessed and support 'sharing' their abundance.
The art people see this and will capitalize on the newfound largess.
So you’re blaming Trump? For downstate parasites before Trump?
Goddamnedest I’ve ever seen.
Dude, get out of TC for a while...
May be you are missing my point. The AWESOME economy has it's effects. The successes of it is too broad to simply point to the AA parasites.
Bullshit. Detoilet stole this false premise under the Snyder/Baird/Orr orchestrated - approved by Randy Richardville and Jase Bolger - bailout. This is the problem with Boomers. Yep, rail against any Milliken fellating douche (house divided), but when the brass-tax comes down of STEALING MONEY TO GROW GOVERNMENT, the recucklican spin is there.
AA? The fuck you talking?
Ps. thumbs up and down all you want faggy assoles.
