Update – 16 October 2014 @ 1042 Hours
I received a reply from Ms. Wilson.
We had no time to reschedule it, to notify people of its rescheduling, and to find the personnel to handle another date. We also weren’t entirely sure that Barrett would not show up for the full forum. I do regret that I didn’t have a chance to let Theresa Abed know the circumstances, but everything was speculative until the evening of the forum itself.
So yeah, Jacquelyn Tennis was barking up the wrong tree.

Tom texted me and let me know that the point of contact was Marilyn Wilson – Director of Voter services. I’m going to try and contact her to get more information.
With that said, it does appear that Ms. Wilson is a democrat (or at least an Obama voter) – assuming the shirt wasn’t a joke.
Original Story – Published 15 October 2014 @ 0934 Hours
On 7 October, the Lansing Area League of Women Voters had a candidate forum for the 71st District house race. Tom Barrett was going to be facing off with incumbent Theresa Abed. Well, that was the plan anyways.
Because of financial shenanigans, the MIARNG had to change training dates for most units and service members (first hand knowledge – I had drill moved around in September). Tom was scheduled for an additional flight training period (AFTP) on the 1st of the month to work on his aided night (NVG) currency. However, as a result of the aforementioned, the AFTP was rescheduled for the 7th – the night of the forum.
Tom had contacted the organizers (I’m still waiting on finding out who exactly, but I would guess Camilla Davis and/or Beth Moore as they’re the co-presidents) days in advance of the forum to reschedule, yet it still went on as planned. Subsequently, he was only able to make opening remarks before having to pop smoke.
On their facebook page, Eaton County Democratic Party chair Jacquelyn Tennis wrote a post (see below) cried foul, claiming that he didn’t ask to reschedule.
She also wrote a letter as well claiming that Rep. Abed was not informed.
Lulz wut? Either the organizers dropped the ball and didn’t notify anyone of the situation (on top of not rescheduling) because of incompetency, Ms. Tennis just wanted to ignore the truth, or they were all in on the job.
The LWV has been since the days of Carrie Chapman Catt, a gaggle of Progressivism loving bra-burning broads that vote Democrat, anyway.
F**k 'em.
Thank you for posting this, Jason! This is a new low for the Eaton County Democrats: attacking a man for defending his country!
As that propaganda .org clearly states in their chapter's banner on the corner... "Making [a] Democracy Work".
Mmmnnnya... about that picture.
"I am part of a movement that asks teacher educators and their English education students to recognize and respond to the social and political issues of cultural and linguistic diversity in English teaching. An area of study that illustrates how my research and teaching come together is my work on “hate speech,” and how it impacts both those who use it and those who are its targets. My research exemplifies the situated nature of English education studies within a larger cultural context."
Straight from the old Democrats' mouth.
It wouldn't surprise me if she had a tattoo saying "I ♥ Bill Ayres" on her ass.

There is your true face of the LWV. {spit}
