Just in Time for the Election

Poof! PFM!

The average price of gas in Michigan is $ 3.10 a gallon for regular while the average is $3.06 in the metropolitan Detroit area.

In Monroe, gas has been hovering as low as $ 2.85 this week.

Ms. Hiltz sees the trend in prices declining throughout November and into December, and said it is possible for the state average to drop below $ 3, which hasn’t happened since 2010.

Notice how many in the linked article have been so conditioned that they’re *thankful* gas is around $3 when just a decade ago it was $1.44 a gallon? Sheeple were made to be shorn.

Keep that in mind for the Lame Duck in Lansing, if/when the Nerd is unleashed with his wholesale tax agenda & registration fee hike.

To Collect for Who They Serve

As Halloween nears, and folks decompress from their busy schedules with getting into their Trick or Treating festivities, what could possibly be a better opportunity for a bunch of cash strapped municipalities with public sector union legacy costs than to launch a money grab scheme involving 140+ LEO agencies in 26 counties?

Now, let’s adjourn below for another presentation from Jackboot Theatre Productions.

*The Click It Or Ticket campaign is part of Michigan’s $trategic Highway $afety Plan signed by Gov. Rick Snyder in 2013.

Top Republican Hails Foolish Busy Work He Voted For

Anyone ever shakes hands with this guy, they might want to count their fingers when they’re done.

So, what are some of the highlights?

The current and next-generation Volt will continue to be built at GM’s Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant.

The Volt has not met sales expectations set in 2011 by former CEO Dan Akerson, who wanted production to hit 60,000 annually by 2012. Since the plug-in hybrid was launched in late 2010, GM has sold about 69,000. Last year, GM lowered the price by $5,000 to boost sales.

Barra would not give volume targets for the newest Volt, saying she thinks GM has learned its lessons from sharing overly optimistic sales goals.
…..

Barra wouldn’t comment on whether the Volt is profitable; she said GM doesn’t comment on profitability of specific car lines. She also declined to say whether the sticker price of the 2015 Volt would be lower, and wouldn’t say if it would be offered in multiple models.

Oh please, stop with the crap: http://www.michigancapitolconfidential.com/16192

The battery cells for the Volt are produced at LG Chem in Holland.

Jase, you’re an ass. So is the entire Senate.

Need a Better Reason to Not Vote for Snyder?

RightMi.com readers cannot say they weren’t warned, and if anyone trusts this guy, then they are irreparably beyond stupid. Also, just another reason why the *professional* Chattering Class‘ endorsements are completely useless.

Altruism has its own Rewards

Meet Ebola Patient Four

liberalsCraig Spencer, a 33-year-old emergency room doctor, is the fourth confirmed case in the U.S. and the first in the city.
Matt Lockwood, a spokesman for Wayne State University, said Spencer graduated from its School of Medicine in 2008.

“It doesn’t surprise us that one of our medical students was working for an organization like Doctors Without Borders in helping the under-served. A lot of our students come to Wayne State for its reputation of working with the under-served,” he said Thursday night. “Our thoughts are with him, and we wish the best for him.”

REST

It’s way past time for Michigan’s public universities Socialism indoctrination centers to be weaned from the taxpayer’s teat with allowing them to financially stand on their own merit. If an adult chooses to enter these hives of egalitarianism they should pay full ticket price without coercive governmental subsidy. Which, this leads us back to our deceitful CPA governor who steals from K-12 only to prop up those like Matt Lockwood collecting a taxpayer funded paycheck while braying about their alumni Fabianism with reckless abandon.

More Than a 1,000 Beds for Ebola? Fo Shizzle

As if yesterday’s lobbyist funded stupidity or, being caught up in ongoing no-bid payola was not enough, Snyder takes it upon himself to trot out the state’s low-rent versions of Ron Klain, and Tom Friedenwithout any further delay …the Nerd’s 1,000 beds schtick.

Flanked by Michigan Department of Community Health Director Nick Lyon and Chief Medical Executive Mathew Davis — who are leading Michigan’s Ebola response — Snyder said Michigan has launched an expansive preparedness effort though not a single case of Ebola has been detected in the state.

“Ebola is hopefully a low threat, low-risk problem in the state of Michigan, but it’s a serious one,” Snyder said. “This is an evolving situation … (and) we’re preparing to adjust as circumstances change.”

Among steps taken so far, Michigan’s Community Health Emergency Coordination Center has been activated, as well as the Michigan State Police Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division.

Obola-Czar-RonThe Department of Community Health has been in daily contact with the federal Centers for Disease Controls and Prevention. State health officials also have coordinated several statewide conference calls with hospitals, including a briefing on new infection control protocols released Tuesday by the CDC.

The state is working with ambulance services statewide to make sure emergency medical technicians are properly trained to transport Ebola patients, said Davis, Michigan’s chief doctor.

The CDC is developing a network of regional hospitals designated to receive Ebola patients, but has not yet named a Michigan hospital to participate, he said.

Jeez, why would that be? Mmmm, maybe just 23 beds from coast to coast.

“Whether Michigan will have a regional Ebola treatment center is a matter of ongoing discussion with the CDC,” Davis said.

Davis and Snyder urged all Michiganians to get flu shots, noting symptoms of flu could mask the symptoms of Ebola, which include vomiting, diarrhea and fever.

Flu shots? Ya, that’s the ticket (see bullet point #10).

Sleep well knowing Barack and Rick got this handled.

Bejebus! What a Dunce

She was in way over her duplicitous head from the very get go.

But unlike Ernst, Land never had a break-out moment like the “castrating hogs” spot. Her most memorable ad tried to rebut “war on women” attacks by pointing out that she is a woman. For about 11 seconds of the ad, she sat there drinking coffee, looking at her watch, and not saying anything. It was widely panned.

A_deer_in_the_headlights__by_James_The_NoseInstead, Land’s most memorable moment on the campaign trail was in May, when she burst out in a scrum of reporters, “I can’t do this. I talk with my hands,” as they asked her questions. Since then, story after story has portrayed Land as hiding from the media, with national reporters traveling to Michigan to find unannounced campaign events.

Darnoi pointed out Republicans had not been sold on Land’s candidacy since the beginning. Like Ernst, Land was not the top choice: There were early efforts to recruit Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., to run. He passed.

Meanwhile, Ernst exceeded expectations as a candidate, proving one of the best retail politicians this cycle.

Glenn Opponent Applauded Legislative Malfeasance

Joan Brausch applauds legislative abandonment in Wisconsin while a spokesman for occupy, THEN denies she was a spokesman.

Brausch-wowJoan Brausch should be a NASCAR driver.

The Democrat candidate for Michigan’s 98th house seat would have voters believe she wasn’t a spokesman for the ‘occupy’ movement. Apparently she has been running the left turn at high velocity for so long, that the centrifugal force has drawn all the blood from the left hemisphere of her brain.

A Facebook posting denying involvement as leadership in the occupy contradicts with video evidence.

Of course, the “American Dream” group she founded might well be true also.

Considering who ALSO organized an ‘American Dream Movement’ on or about the same time, its very possible she was a part of that.

“In 2011, Jones worked with MoveOn.org to launch the Rebuild the Dream campaign, which was intended to start a progressive American Dream movement

I suppose linking to communists while denying her local ‘occupy’ suckers sends a signal she is willing to toss aside a few nobodies to advance a hardened ‘progressive’ agenda.

Even as she is afraid to debate and suffer an inevitable crush through unassailable logic and common sense by Republican Gary Glenn.
