Hernandez A Good Choice

From Lenard’s blog:

My response to a MORON on Twatter that was whining and moaning and threatening to sit-out #MidTerms2022 in #Michigan cuz #ChiefCraig wasn’t announced as #TudorDixon‘s #LG Candidate (and would allow #WHITLER to Win re-election)….

Can’t say I disagree for the most part.

Hopefully we don’t shoot ourselves in the foot somehow.

Play stupid games. Win stupid prizes.

If I didn’t know any better, I’d swear that the Michigan Republican Party wants four more years of Gretchen Whitmer.

It should stand to reason that running a candidate who is antithetical to the base is not exactly a winning strategy. Especially when they try, invariably in vain, to claim that candidate is somehow Conservative.

Typically, they will employ one of the following stratagems:

• Hallelujah, they have seen the light! You can trust them now to do the right things since they now have their eye on a higher office.

• Or, just sweep their record under the rug and use industrial-strength gaslighting on anyone who dares to bring it up.

How often have we seen this?

Well, we’ve seen this play out nationally with McCain in ’08. The Republican kakistocracy wanted him badly (it was HIS turn to run, after all). The base didn’t trust him. We ended up getting stuck with Barry for eight years because Willard certainly wasn’t any better four years later.

Here in Michigan, we’ve seen this in ’18 when B.S. got tapped to run for that coveted seat in the Romney Building (again, according to the Nigh-omnipotent potentates in the Michigan GOP, it was HIS turn). The same candidate who couldn’t be bothered to show himself in front of the Grassroots before the Primary, yet always found ample time in his busy schedule for a fundraiser with deep-pocketed donors…well, we all know how that nightmare started.

Fast-forward to this week, when Trump disloyalist Liz Cheney got her backside handed to her by Wyoming Voters by about a 2-1 ratio. Throwing your lot in with the democrats and then taking part in a political star chamber…not a great plan. If your Paul Pelosi-level of investments didn’t pay off as well as they have while you were “serving” your Constituents in Wyoming, people might have a reason to feel sorry for your future.

So, where is this observation heading towards True Believers are asking themselves?

Do Not Let the Establishment Demoralize You!

Following the 2020 election, the feeling of something being very wrong in this country hit its pinnacle with millions of Americans.

Over the years, we have endured an increasing more corrupt government, a dishonest media, a rigged financial system, increased crime, and a drastic loss of civil liberties, and Draconian corporate censorship. So much has happened and from so many different angles, that it has become difficult to keep up with it all.

Yet throughout this assault on the hard-working majority, by a well-funded and well-publicized lunatic fringe, Americans have kept the faith and kept fighting for their liberties. Such is the case with grassroots activists fighting for our freedoms, best exemplified by Michigan State Rep. Matt Maddock.

If there was any doubt as to whether or not an education actually means being intelligent.

This post is going to be a little bit of what happened to me yesterday (and I’m pretty sure that some of you will be able to relate to it) and a little bit from my inbox.

I finally had a chance to spend some time with my friends over the weekend whom I haven’t seen in a while due to the unknown virus from unspecified origin ™. To put it very, mildly things didn’t go very smoothly.

These are friends (and they still are) that I’ve had going back several decades now. We don’t see eye-to-eye on all things politically. Despite that, we still got along over all that time and doing things that friends normally do for one another like helping each other out here and there and attending each other’s family events.

That ended about two years ago when they went into pretty much full lockdown mode, not wanting to have anything to do with anyone. Until last weekend, any attempts to meet earlier have crashed and burned when they would only agree to meet if certain ”precautions” were taken (mask wearing, “vaccine” status, meeting only in medically “safe” parts of the state, etc.).

I’m not 100% sure of what had changed.

Quite honestly, I didn’t care.

They were still my friends and I was still interested in meeting with them after they had finally agreed to drop their ludicrous conditions.

As sad as that is for them, how they choose to live their own lives is their concern. I had been living my life as close to normal as I could without succumbing to the fear and paranoia created by the propaganda promulgated by the government.

Speaking of which…

What???

I commented last week regarding President Trump’s visit to Washington last week.

Obviously, the legacy media wasn’t going to provide the most glowing coverage of his speech (For the record: They did not).

Oh sure, they had a presence there. Hanging on his every word (along with those speaking there as well). Waiting for that one moment they can glom onto so that they can rebroadcast it as a snippet during the evening news as proof-positive their gaslighting was justified.

Why they consistently fail to display the same level of journalistic integrity when it came to covering “the most popular president in history” ™…well, I’ll leave that up to you.

See the latest example below:

Allow me to go into some of what they didn’t report about, and what some of the rationale is behind it.

Just one more won’t hurt.

I just wanted to dove-tail on an earlier post made by Jason regarding SB-653 to institute a museum tax on Southeastern Michigan.

Well, not ALL of Southeastern Michigan.

Even the backers of this heaping, steaming pile of legislative waste sponsored by the entire Michigan Senate democrat caucus realized that well is running dry, so they were going to focus on the easier marks in Oakland & Wayne Counties instead.

No, I’m not kidding.

They didn’t call them easy marks directly, per se (that would’ve been too obvious), but they did spell out their plan when they went before the Michigan Senate Committee last December to push for this little shakedown.

Check it out for yourself, it’s a short video cued up to the best part. OABTW, be sure to check it out at the 5:23 mark regarding the “Time sensitivity with the bill”

So, what insulting here?

Oh, the fact that not only did four “republicans”, namely Sen. Ken Horn, Sen. Curt VanderWall, Sen. Kim LaSata, Sen. Mark Huizenga, voted to move this bill out of committee, instead of letting it die a slow death, but they voted to have it take immediate effect!

Now, why would a “republican” from Frankenmuth vote to promote a tax hike in Oakland & Wayne Counties?

Better yet, where is that same zeal shown in the video to let Taxpayers know how that money is being spent?

Or better yet, to allow communities to opt out of this grift?

Stay tuned…

We want to work on people until they can no longer resist us.

There is something distinctly un-Canadian about not being civil.

It’s distressing to state publicly that a republic which has at its core foundation a freedom of not only speech, but of the press as well, having no compunctions seeing those two bedrock principles quickly being twisted into ersatz versions of themselves. Worse yet, no one seeming to care.

But, what else did you expect when people in power are not only challenged, by are visible threatened by those challengers?

New Years Eve Eve

Going to be a live stream with a bunch of active conservative types on FaceFart.  It could be an entertaining night

From Rescue Michigan’s Adam de Angeli:

It’s going to be one heck of a live stream, with commentary from some of the hardest-working and most effective grassroots leaders in the Michigan conservative movement.

We’ll be recapping 2021: the good news and bad, the victories and defeats. We’ll be sharing what we know, what we’ve learned, and what’s in store for 2022.

If you cannot possibly tune in live, the show will be archived for viewing at your convenience, but if you can join us, we hope you will.

It’s not just our panel of guests, it’s the live interaction with all of you in the chat that make these shows so worthwhile.

It’ll be a marathon of a show, so it will, in large part, be a free-form conversation, with our guests and all of you that fight in the trenches to preserve and restore our great tradition of liberty in America.

There will be a lot of discussion, reflection, and a strong dose of levity for these trying times.

Looking at the cast..  It ought to be interesting.

The feedback alone would be worth the price of the ticket.
