Lt. General William G Boykin At The Tea Party Powwow

Retired Special Ops General Speaks to conservatives in annual forum

The 2015 Powwow has ended, and even with threatening weather and bad roads and a misplaced tone of indignation, it went well.

The reality on the ground is that along with the Patriot voices radio hitting 5000+ listeners to the live stream of the event, we had nearly 400 on hand attending or participating in some way.  Some good folks were on hand (I will have photos out at some point) and some good information sharing to be had.

Boykin3For me, the highlight of Saturday’s activity was the speech by Lt. General William G Boykin which was as entertaining as it was inspirational.  An outstanding orator, he spoke on his service, the sacrifices made around him, and his thoughts on where we are as a nation.

The video is a little over an hour, but is well worth every single minute.  Forgive the weak camera work.  It was hard to keep up with it while thoroughly enjoying the presentation at the same time.

I find it interesting that far too many on our side refuse to acknowledge any parallels between the lack of "courage" he refers to when describing gutless tea partiers that his organization has (regrettably) supported...and similar legislative /purposely ignored events that we ourselves refuse to even so much as acknowledge right here in our very own state.

I'll ask again...if the general's speech (his call, as it is his personal experience) did NOT touch on Michigan's unique and close familiarity with home-grown radical Islam...were any other speakers willing to broach the subject matter and/or lobby to make same an integral part of this movement's platform?

Courage. Easy to applaud when the subject matter is anywhere but in our own backyards and/or poised to explode into our children's future.

Maybe it would be easier for some to remember that General Boykin displayed TRUE courage by virtue of his no-nonsense remarks concerning the very threats that we now face locally.

Our state Tea Party would do well to emulate the concept in regards to the exact same topic.

...by the way...since General Boykin has already given us a heads up on the "cowards" that he has personally supported and who which turned on him immediately after being sworn into office...who exactly are the top 10 or so legislators statewide who 'we' have effectively lifted up...so that when Jan. 20th (or so) rolls around...we can 'weed out' (immediately) who sleeps with who?

We obviously (already) are rife with individuals who would gladly allow the MCPP to flat out lie as to their (proven) (non)sponsorship of the PoWow (with not a word said otherwise)...we're embracing the legalization of marijuana and encouraging TeaPartiers to bring their kids/learn all about it...we're keynoting a political consultant who has questionable ties to the very individuals that we're fighting (not to mention close links to our very own leadership)..and we have no plan in place whatsoever to 'rate' the very people that we have sent to Lansing evidently involved in these very shenanigans.

Heck, let's just make it the top '5' who are 'beyond reproach' in the minds of (fellow) Constitution thumpers (sorry if I sound cyclical...but even good 'ol Tom McMillen couldn't resist "pension obligation bonds; with no vote of the people required" when 'pressed').
