  • Your New Scoop Site

    Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

Looks like the Al Gorezeera thermalgeddon meltdown fraud is being shot down in the Mitten.

Court battles over the Colorado and Minnesota renewable energy mandates could potentially mark the beginning of the end for similar laws in other states, including Michigan.

In June, Judge Richard Posner of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit Court wrote that Michigan's in-state renewable energy mandate violates the Commerce Clause and is therefore unconstitutional. Judge Posner's statement did not have the weight of law because the issue wasn't directly before him. Nonetheless, many received it as a wake-up call and possible harbinger of things to come.

In 2008, the Michigan Legislature passed a law mandating that 10 percent of the state's energy be produced by in-state renewable energy sources by 2015. This law was supposedly enacted to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. However, aspects of it appear inconsistent with that goal.

The law did not include monitoring requirements to test what effects, if any, the mandate actually has on emissions. Also, although there are several so-called renewable energy sources with wind energy the predominate source used to meet the mandate in Michigan. This has been so in spite of the fact that the federal government says Michigan is not well-suited for wind energy production.

    REST

Remember the alleged Republicans who voted for <cough>Brian Calley</cough> this Soylendraish scam of costly energy in Michigan.

Just what this state needs.  A corrupt East coast liberal, lobbyist for Bernie Madoff, turned Joisey blowhard governor stinking up the Mitten.

Christie, who will become head of the Republican Governors Association this month, plans to campaign in states that he could need if he seeks the Republican presidential nomination in 2016. Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder has not formally announced he will seek re-election, but is widely expected to do so early next year.

Christie told The New York Times on Tuesday he would appear frequently next year in "places like Ohio and Michigan and Florida."

AYFKM?!?!  Thanks to Reince Priebus, the GOP remains dead to me.  The Libertarians are the dumbest of the lot, so much so, that even Uncle Squeaky couldn't save his "free the weed" following from voting Obama's stalking horse Anarcho-Lunacy.

I'll leave y'all with a quote from 2012's VP vetting that says it all about Christie - "He sounds like the biggest a$$hole in the world," Stevens griped to his partner, Russ Shriefer.

Indeed, Mr. Stevens... yannow, "Pufferfish" is Snyder's kinda peeps.

What Patriot out There Wants to be my Next Sheriff?

Here is a heartwarming story out of Florida, that you most likely won't be seeing in the MarxStream Media.

Cliff's Notes version?  Sheriff Nick Finch, released a dude they caught carrying a pistol.  Reasoning?  Amendment II supersedes bad gun Laws.  Florida AG Pam Bondi (known enemy of We the People w/ scrubbed video), prosecuted, Sheriff Finch.  A jury (God bless 'em) told The State to go bag their duplicitous ass, and get the good Sheriff back on the job, of which, in an extraordinary prudent move, Gov. Scott immediately did just that.

For record, those who keep track, that makes for, Sheriff Nick Finch = 1 certified Oath Keeper.

Our elected 83 in Michigan?  For the most part, they suck eggs.  As noted here, and here on RightMichigan, they suck more so in Kalkaska.  Then there's this from The Blaze on Crawford County LEO thuggery.
