    Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

Remember folks, Rick Snyder wants youth enslaved to this Federal dumbing-down agenda.

"I think the Common Core is a really important opportunity, and I think it's a good thing," Snyder said Monday in Detroit, where he was joined by U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan. "Unfortunately, it's been too much about politics. Too many people in our country ... are looking to fight someone for the sake of fighting."

Rick Snyder wants this in Michigan?  Why yes, yes he does.

The provision was approved by the House last week prior to the Mackinac Policy Conference, where keynote speakers Michelle Rhee and Jeb Bush warned legislators that pulling back from the standards could have serious consequences.

Gov. Rick Snyder, who has publicly supported Common Core, told MLive at the conference that he felt the controversy over the standards was "something we need to work through." Snyder endorsed the standards during an appearance with Secretary of Education Arne Duncan at a Detroit-area school last month.

37 House R's are despicable and need to lose the seat in Lansing.

"we ought to be more transparent than we have to be"

How dumb.  Just disclose what you have now and move along.  L. Brooks Patterson doesn't hesitate to name those he shakes down and those buying influence in Oakland County, however, Rick Snyder is above that as if his donors are like Barry's college transcripts.

"I think if you don't release it, it looks like there's something suspicious," Patterson told The News. "We all talk about transparency and we either live it or not."
    ....

"It's easier to hit your supporters for a donation sometimes, than getting them to donate from their personal account," Patterson said of getting corporate donations made to the fund.

Snyder testified last week in a deposition in Detroit's bankruptcy case that he doesn't know who donates to the fund - an admission that's raised some eyebrows. "It's almost dereliction of duty if he didn't know who the donors were," Robinson said.

Rich Baird testified he didn't know either.  What a pack of lies.  So, what's a Nerd to do?  Naturally, Rick Snyder put's his crony on the public dole with a $40,000 pay raise.  Frilliant!

The alleged Party of principle, strikes again.

Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Ron Boji, of Orchard Lake, to the state Transportation Commission.

The six-member commission is the policy-making body for all state transportation programs.

"Ron has enjoyed a distinguished career and I look forward to his contributions to this important commission," Snyder said.

Hey, it's a Nerdy job but, somebody's got to do it...

Yippie!  Federal road monies for Ron to run his fingers through.

"...balance their budget based on what's actually in their checkbook not what they wish was there."

After replacing the MBT with a State Income Tax Hike, plundering retirees pensions, cutting the Homestead Tax Credit, electioneering with Democrats, continuing to gift illegal aliens over $900M annually, and passing Obamacare Snydercaid, the guy I see in the propaganda video above is the best argument presented for a Part-time State Legislature.

Go work on growing your second chin, Jase.  Like Snyder, you're the problem.

Snyder Administration Still Screwing Over Farmers

    The title says it all.

You can believe the well produced propaganda piece on Michigan's new-found prosperity, OR you can observe what has been happening to the men and women and families that feed us.  No amount of Rah-Rah for right to work (which I support tremendously) and budgets done on time can take away the rotten stink of tyranny that comes through our state's administrative efforts. As far as the bureaucratic 'rule makers' are concerned, the peasantry is far to pitiful to fear, except for a few trouble makers.

A few troublemakers, merely following tradition by doing what generations have done to make the country healthy and prosperous. Farmers, who like any other business that must inevitably deal with an onslaught of government intrusion into their affairs, making a mockery of presumed prophylactic and protective measures for the public good. Family Farmers, like other mom and pop business ventures who have had the oxygen sucked out of their existence by expansive government till they fall one by one.

Veteran Mark Baker of Baker's Green Acres is the equivalent of today's canary-in-the-coal-mine that is Michigan.  Except THIS bird isn't dying to tell you the oxygen has left the premises.

His words are straight up and easy to understand.

Snyder inherited this issue from the former governor.  When he was elected by a minority of Republicans, and faced a loonytunes SOB in the general "hired", there was a clear warning that this could hurt Michigan families, yet he ignored it.

Rick Snyder's office needs daily calls, and to be sure, he needs to be a One Term Nerd.
