Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Ron Boji, of Orchard Lake, to the state Transportation Commission.

The six-member commission is the policy-making body for all state transportation programs.

"Ron has enjoyed a distinguished career and I look forward to his contributions to this important commission," Snyder said.

Hey, it's a Nerdy job but, somebody's got to do it...

"We'll bring in some Air Force folks right here in our district. We can have an oversight reform committee hearing right here and we'll investigate," said Bentivolio in response to an audience question. "I'd like to find out about it too."

Such is the power of incumbency, and the deep pocketbooks of the GOP's insurgent Ron Paul/Libertarian wing that backs Bentiviolo.

In the redrawn CD-11, I wouldn't be so cocksure as to hang my hat on "the power of incumbency".  Not in Oakland, and Wayne County's den of vipers, anyway.

State Treasurer Andy Dillon's secretary sued his ex-wife for defamation Wednesday for claiming she had an affair with her boss.

In a lawsuit filed in Wayne County Circuit Court, Amy U. Hichez denied having an affair with Andy Dillon - allegations Carol Owens-Dillon publicly leveled in a July 7 posting on her Facebook page.

Owens-Dillon stood by the allegations Wednesday.

"I'm surprised she is doing this because she will be putting her boss negatively in the press and I'm quite sure he doesn't need that," Owens-Dillon said in a statement to The News.

Indeed.  What further defamation is possible with those who sit in government with Andy and his buddy, Miles Handy?  Yet, much like Hillary Clinton, and Huma Abedin, the slovenly attired self-invented Nerd persona is going to stand by his man.  Frillant move for the Executive branch of state government that is the flagship of the MI-GOP.

Dillon has acknowledged a bout with alcoholism while being the governor's point man for handling financially distressed cities and school districts.

But now the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office is considering a domestic assault charge against Dillon stemming from a July 13 confrontation with his ex-wife, Carol Owens-Dillon, at their Redford Township home.

Dillon, a former Democratic speaker of the state House of Representatives, and the Snyder administration are not answering questions about his alleged actions.

"We do not believe it is appropriate to respond to speculation," Snyder spokesman Dave Murray said Tuesday in a statement. "Gov. Snyder believes Treasurer Dillon is doing a good job on behalf of the people of Michigan."

Again, zero transparency from Rick Snyder.  Sure Dave Murray, we little people "believe" you too.  Just try boozing as a "point man" in the Private Sector, and see how long it takes to be shown the door.  And, this is a so-called Executive's decision?  Amazing.  Fact remains that Rick Snyder owns that appointment, and isn't man enough to deal with his can of worms - but, he'll have to before long.  There's more...

A Wayne County Family Court judge has issued a mutual restraining order against Dillon and his ex-wife after they filed competing personal protection orders against each other.

The acrimony stems from a July 13 incident at the Dillon residence in Redford Township where Carol Owens-Dillon alleges her ex-husband hired a tow truck driver to break into a vehicle she was driving that contained her divorce files. In court records, Owens-Dillon claims she had "racially-charged text messages" in the file that she intended to deliver to Snyder.

"You've heard of the bridge to nowhere?  Welcome to the jail for no one."

Told ya.  You're getting warmer, Ross.  However, that jail for no one will be gobbled up by Dan Gilbert for pennies on the dollar.

Tomorrow's court hearing will likely signal more of the end to private property ownership and farming for small family organizations.  The hearing is at 111 Canal St. Lake City, MI and starts at 2 pm. The Bakers are facing a DNR $700,000 fine for wanting to do business as they have for decades. Donations are being accepted for their legal costs of defending not only THEIR way of life, but challenging the state imposed rules which CRUSH small farms and small business for nothing less than "the best of intentions."

The Attorney General, OR The Governor COULD 'save the day' of course, but it could have happened already.

Anyhow, The Bakers can still keep an upbeat attitude. In fact they are having a pig roast on Saturday along with some fund raising activities. And you are all invited. Celebrate the farm Saturday at their place.

"The hogs are scalded and ready to roast.  The yard is looking good.  All the animals have been admonished to be on their best behavior.   We are anticipating good weather (if the weatherman can be trusted), which makes a hay ride a lot more fun.  There will be several ways you can enjoy and help support the farm: bid on products from our friends and associates in the Silent Auction, take home some farm products, and donate to the "piggy bank."

Yes, that Inkster property.  So, naturally Gov. Snyder, brings Ron Boji into the Lansing fold in the Big Money State slush fund.  Note: "acting as the fiduciary agent for the 21st Century Jobs Fund."  RM readers can't say they weren't aware.  Associations matter.  

Then, in Wayne County, there is also John Rakolta, who sits on the Board of the quasi-governmental "Development" entity capable of influencing bids on Ficano projects that John's company Walbridge Aldinger, just happens to be constructing the Jail to Nowhere, is also now pocketing the millions in "cost overruns".  Mighty convenient coincidence for Dan Gilbert, to make suggestion of taking that boondoggle jail property off the county's hands, assumedly, for pennies on the dollar, isn't it?

Gov. Rick Snyder appointed Ron Boji of Orchard Lake and Craig DeNooyer of Kalamazoo to the Michigan Strategic Fund board of directors Monday.

The 11-member board promotes economic development and job creation by approving private activity bonds, authorizing community development block grant applications and acting as the fiduciary agent for the 21st Century Jobs Fund.

Boji is president of the Boji Group, where he oversees the management, development and leasing of space in the company's real estate portfolio.
